Overall, the weekend ending up being successful.

The maiden voyage was Saturday but only rode a half tank of fuel. Run into a few issues and wanted to address a few things... main thing being the battery location. Lucas was right... what a nightmare. I made another battery box really quick and glued it in. I have included a few pictures below of my "process" / how I cut the pattern on the Carbon as I know a few people have asked. It takes me about a half hour to lay one up, then put in the oven on "warm" for 2 hours. It is then ready to scuff and glue to the hull. I ended up moving the battery to right in front of the waterbox. Perfect location really. I also noticed where some items hoses / lines were rubbing, so I either rerouted them or put some sort of "protection" on them.

Reassembled everything Monday morning and hit the water all afternoon / evening. What a fantastic day on the water! 90 degree day and sunny. Our lake warmed up FAST! It was choppy as hell because of the holiday weekend (boat traffic) but we found a secluded bay that was flat. Unfortunately, it was a spot where my girlfriend could not get to take any pics or video :nono: Ski ran great after tickling the hi jets and flow control valve to dry out the pipe. Hoping to get back out in a couple days when it has calmed down close to shore and get some good shots / video. This thing FLYS through the air. The height is crazy (to me). Can't wait to see how it looks on pics or video.

The hull setup is perfect with the footholds set as far forward as they are. Even though it is about 5" shorter then my last Superfreak hull, the handling is damn near the same. Though on landings the nose does come up VERY fast. Just have to be quick to pull yourself up and get weight over the front end. I am weighing in at 175 LBS. Anyone much heavier then me - this is NOT the ski for them.

Also, for those that are curious, I am running a Ballistic 12 cell battery. Has NOT skipped a beat so far. Ran 6 gallons of fuel through it Monday, with a LOT of starts/stops and not one issue (tweaking the carbs, going out, riding a few minutes, bring it back and, tweak some more, etc...). Took 65 minutes to do a "balance" charge" when I brought it in.

Anyway, a couple pics:

Nice! Report back end of summer I'm curious how that orange turf does in the sun

will do - i am curious as well.

I want to see it in action!

soon man, soon! hopefully i will be able to ride this week after work when the girlfriend will be around and she'll get some pictures and/or video.

looks good i wanna ride

thanks man but sorry, no one rides this ski except me (and maybe a buddy or two that put in some time to help me build it). i simply have to much money and time wrapped up in this.

do you notice a difference in grip running the diamonds north and south vs east and west on your turf?

i have never ran the turf any other way then this so i would not know.

with 26mm pad top and bottom, along with wrestling shoes, it is perfect.

you MUST kick in. it is tight but SUPER comfy.

Holy crap that thing came out great and looks gnarly. Love the handlpole spring idea, doesnt look any different than the normal freaks either.

thanks man - appreciate it.

ski looks sick! orange is such a great color!

:439:

ahhh i knew you'd chime in eventually on this lol

i know you had issues in the front part of the motor... that has been addressed.

there is probably like 1 to 2 mm of clearance in the spot i made a comment on.

i should probably change my statement.

BUT, after running all day Monday, i see no rub marks.

not to say it might not happen though... ya never know.

the front was no worries, i ended up dilling and counter sinking my bolts for my mounts in the rear, gave me about 3-4mm clearance, you prob will start to see some rub marks cause mine was about that much(1-2mm) clearance and it started to show, hopefully not though. do i get a ride since i was right? hahaha

Tem made a new mold for a one off -10 superfreak?

NO.

Tem uses clay in the mold to modify the hull to customer spec.
hence you cant get a longer hull!

this hull was with a different pole bracket area. look at roos pics. there are clay marks in this area.
