Impressive! I some how managed to lose all of my intake and exhaust manifold bolts... Luckily 12$ later at the fastener warehouse I was good to go.

cases and cylinders cleaned thoroughly and then washed with soap and water. Then coated the sleeves with some amsoil interceptor which I will be using throughout the build. Assembly starts tomorrow!

Had the cases and crank ready to be put together, got the yamabond out, started spreading it, and it was coming out funny..Was a few years old and had been opened before, so it was shot. Wiped it off, and looks like I'm gonna head over to my local dealer and grab a nice new bottle and start again! Little bit of a delay, but I'd much rather do it right the first time :)

plexus dust anyone?
Still got a lot to grind out before I can reinforce the hood. The hood is ridiculously weak. Does a well built liner add a lot of strength?

Cases bonded together, pistons assembled and cylinders put on and everything torqued to spec!!!
Tomorrow I have my Highschool Senior Farewell dinner, but beforehand I'm gonna cut, screw, and glue in my holds. I lost my freeken templates from tom so I've gotta attempt to make my own, and it sucks lol. Wish I wouldn't have lost em.
Saturday I'm gonna glass the holds, and lay one more layer of 1708 on the tray, and work on reinforcing hood, and assembling the rest of the engine.
Sunday, rebuild and rejet carb, and continued assembly, and if I finish assembly, maybe even start on some padding.
I'm off of school monday, half day on tuesday, off on wednesday and thursday, and then i have most of the day off on friday. I walk on Saturday...Then drive up to the dells early Sunday morning :)
It's all coming together FINALLY!

I also have to make a hood liner and paint the pole, but that shouldn't be too bad.
I splurged on a new 2006-2007 RN steering cable as well. I went through 2 SBT cables last season, both of them breaking inside of the sheath. Only reason my OEM SN cable broke is because my UMI steering seized up, got loose, and then snapped the metal threaded rod beyond repair..

A liner adds a lot to the strength. If you can fill the hood with foam it will add a ton to the overall stiffness and impact resistance. That hood will only bend so far before it cracks/shatters. Foam will prevent that deflection.

Heading out to finish up my footholds right now. Glue, rivet, then glass over them and put some more biax in the tray. Hasn't been an easy foothold install..I'll explain later. Hope to have everything but the engine/pole in tomorrow.

painted pole, it matches the skis purple!
Midshaft, pump, motor mounts, battery box are all in. Turf tomorrow and then everything else assembled in the ski besides the engine. Gotta pressure test it first.

I haven't even given it a shot yet since I just painted the pole but I was just wondering if it's difficult or something lol.
