In the spirit of build threads I decided to do one as well.
Bought this hull in hopes of bolting together and riding because my time is limited and I was sick of seeing thousands of dollars worth of parts sit on the shelf in my garage, but like everything else in this industry nothing is easy or goes as planned. Details to follow.

Thanks guys, It will be a nice hull when complete.

I bought this hull with the understanding it was a clean low hour hull ready to bolt together. Upon delivery (via our work semi that was conveniently at Daytona Bike week and able to bring the thing back to the frozen lands of WI for me) I pulled the hood and was instantly disappointed. One of the fuel tank inserts was completely loose just flapping around in the delaminated carbon wrap that was covering it. After looking a little closer I saw the carbon over the engine mounts was also loose and starting to delaminate from the engine bilge. About an hour later and I had the carbon around all for engine mounts completely stripped from the hull and three of the for aluminum mounts removed for the hull. I did this by hand, no tools necessary. Fourth mount came out with light prying with a screw driver.

At this point I was pissed. I will say that I have since worked out an agreement with the seller and we are good. He tore it down at night in the dark and didn't realize the condition of the bilge area. Upset about the extra work, yes but glad the seller was willing to work with me on some money back makes everything good in my book. Chit happens, move on and deal with it.

Cleaned up the mounts in the sand blaster, spent an afternoon prepping the hull to remount the mount plates, and reset them using G-Flex 655. After the G-Flex cured for a day I took a tube of 5200 and pumped the underside of the mount full to insure there was no gap under the mounts like there was when I pulled them the first time. 2X4" mount should have more contact area that a 3/8" band around the perimeter IMO. Decided to switch the plates direction around and just mark, drill & tap new holes once all of the reinforcements are done. I didn't want to try to line them up perfectly when resetting them. I will note that the mounts were smooth as a babies bottom on the back side after I sand blasted them and got the old epoxy off. I made sure they were nice and roughed up before I reset them.

I would have had a f*^*&$# heart attack if that thing showed up like that....after the seller said bla bla bla....glad you got that worked out!

By hand!!??? All that chit just fell out!!??

It takes a lot, I mean a lot to get me really heated and I was about ready to throw the hull in our trash compactor and have a firesale on all my parts. I'm down to about 3 vendors I'm willing to work with in this industry. The mounts were covered still when I got the hull, but the carbon peeled back by hand and pulled the mounts with my scronny little fingers
