Ya think it's time for new turf ? Waffle turf probably doesn't last as long but I think it looks nice especially the dual colors. Heard someone say it grips better too ? Idk. I really enjoy removing old contact cement, wish I did this fulltime. Going to go with the blue on black turf, how does that look ?

Yeah it carves it right off fast...the tough part is sanding the contact cement down to the carbon. I have not tried acetone on it. I know lacquer thinner does not touch it.

The flat tool that goes on that multi tool works good for that sometimes. One with no teeth.
Just move it in a forward diagonal movement.

I carefully cut three turf areas off whole to use as templates but that is time consuming. Matt_E stay away from the dash with your drill. : )

YES! l use the thin gray turf and run it across the tops of the gunwales all the way.Just cut about a 2"-2.25" wide piece and flair out towards the rear.No trimming or sculpting needed.lt will lay out smooth.Padding is your friend. And will take some of the harsh edges off areas that have a tendency to wrinkle or bunch up.l ended up taking the gray pad all the way up.

put 26mm on top and bottom of footholds....did this on my freak....had to wear wrestling shoes and kick it, but super comfy and locked in tight

Definitely gonna do that otherwise it can be painful kicking in too hard.

As long as the old turf was stuck on good I wouldn't think you need to get rid of all the old contact cement. Just brush more on top and go.
