Freestyle Shredder pumps

Was looking at getting a new mag pump for my ski, got a heads up that there is a new pump coming out from thrustinovations, the shredder pump, going to be 40 percent lighter than mag and cheaper, has anyone heard much about these or maybe even jumped the line and got one allready?

Been quite a few rumours floating around last year of some new technology in pumps. Didn't hear that Thrust was in the works too.

yea well i a emailled thrust regarding a mag pump and they emailled back saying they are almost finished there shredder pumps, I think I will try one thats quite a signficant weight reduction, he said (roughly 2-3weeks ago) that they would be finished in a month.

...and I just bought a mag pump like a week ago. The price of used mag pumps will probably be cut in half when that comes out.

Nice to see more attention being paid to jet pumps. I was wondering if XR-tech was the only one working on a new design, but I see we're not.

Let's just say that I need to hear more like right NOW, before I go and buy something else.

Ya, spill the beans guys. I don't want to drop a load of cash on something next week only to have a different option come up in a month.

Sweet, The BOB!

More like the "MOB", Mag on a Budget...and a diet.

The skeptic in me is expecting nothing more than an upgraded pump stuffer. The optimist in me can't wait to be proven wrong. :bigok:

I have always felt that there is much advancement to be made in pump technology and wondered why it hasn't happened yet.

To be fair since the info is now out . Yes we are working on a new pump system and will be done for daytona next week . And production will follow about 2-4 weeks for first orders .
the details now are 12 and 14 vein first the 12,s and 144m up to 155mm all billet aircraft aluminum hard anodized in different colors black being standard . huge weight loss is the first and main gain . Second we will have adjustable on the fly tail cones so you can make adjustments right at the water to tune your pump to oyur liking for your setup within 5 minutes .
I am sure we will make changes over the next years as this sport continues improve and evolve

Other than material, is the stator section any different from Skat's pumps?
(in other words, what are the technical advantages over a mag pump, besides weight and cone)

Good to hear.
What price range (just a rough estimate) for a 12 vein 144mm ?
Just trying to see what I should and shouldn't be buying before Daytona, that's all.

Cheaper and better looking is going to be all that matters here. Having more vanes will also make it sell, more is always better, right? So how much for a 12 vane stator?

brian said the price is gonna be about the same as a skat. It's main advantage is weight reduction. But I didn't speak with him verry long. He didn't touch too much on design
