Super Jet SN build, Rocker, Chopped rear, this website made me do it!

IMG_3616.JPG IMG_3615.JPG IMG_3613.JPG 2 more hours sanding and sanding and sanding. Looks like in this skis pas life when it was half deformed and the tray was resealed about a litre if poly resin was poured to the front 2" of the tray it's over 1/2" thick in spots and the resin is even over the paint. That's all getting sanded out I'm not laying glass over poly resin aswell as glassing over paint, I'm bringing it right now to the original hull. I thought I would be putting foam in tonight :(

In the tray, don't be scared to use a 4" angle grinder. Makes much better work out of sanding than an orbital. You can't hurt that tray. Going to cover it in turf when your done anyway so it doesn't have to be pretty

I was out of town all weekend and didn't touch the ski once. On my way back home I got a broken ride plate off a local guy 3 hours away for a alright price and will have to shorten it a bit. Down the road I once it is the right length for my ski I will sand some of the scratches out and get it powdercoated. Anyone who rides a shortened hull have an idea of what length I should cut off. I'm thinking cut just before the 3rd set of holes cause I only have 4 mounting holes now anyway. Try it like that and shorten more if needed. Will doing a d cut do much? It's not letting me post photos now I will later.

IMG_3651.JPG Next time I work on the ski I will Ben putting foam in the tray I'm finally ready. Tonight I horn the last cutting and sanding done for the tray build. I decided to just cut the last bit of try I left in the front before cause the epoxy wasn't way to thick. You can see in the photo the black is the original tray and the lighter stuff is what someone else added when it was deformed originally.

Awesome work! I'd be too scared to do anything to my skis

If you're still looking for powdercoat, I could probably do a good price for ya. I'll be at the races. I did my whole engine not long ago

Thanks for the powdercoat offer but I think I'm going to have to hang off on the powder, just gotta get this thing on the water ASAP and still have so much to do in the next 85 ish days. Might do some powder coating over the winter.

Are you gonna bring this to the races when it's done? I wanna see it lol

IMG_3662.JPG This is all I got done on the ski today:( cut the back of the ride plate off. The ride plate was a bit to big for the band saw at work but the shop next door had one to do the job. I will try riding it like that and trim as required later.
