Super Jet SN build, Rocker, Chopped rear, this website made me do it!

IMG_3689.JPG IMG_3690.JPG IMG_3691.JPG IMG_3692.JPG Tonight I got the ski flipped right over set the pump in to see how much room I had between the lower end of the tray and the trim and it was touching, now big deal I figured it would that's why I left that little section unfinished. I ended up trimming up under the kick on the tray the full width and it looks 100% better now. Also the trim can tilt up with over an inch of clearance now. I'm going to say the ride plate still needs to be cut down a lot. Can anyone with a flat water hull chime in on how short the ride plate should be, at least for a starting point. Today I got a boat load of glass supplies and resin, hopefully enough to finish the ski. Also did some sanding getting ready to beef up the tray. Getting real excited to ride this thing one day. I'm probably 400 hours into this whole project and only the last two days in a row has my wife made slightly negative comments lol, " I can't wait till you finish that thing so we can spend time together" and today she asked "how much money have you spent on this jetski" i don't know

IMG_3719.JPG I'm not going to make it to the event this weekend, the plan is to stay home and get lots done on the ski. Hopefully work on it most weeknights this week too. Last night I started grinding some of the old hood job apart but that's a lot of work, so much resign piled up on the underside.

IMG_3741.JPG IMG_3742.JPG IMG_3743.JPG Other than shaping up the hood this should be the last bit I have to do on the ski. Got just enough layers of glass on this section tonight to hold the shape. After this it's just beef up any some areas on the ski, hopefully add some tubbies up front, and do the hood. Hopefully in about 2 weeks or so I can paint the thing.

Definantly the most time consuming project I have ever taken on before. These long hour projects sometimes take a lot of motivation to keep going. It is this website and a few Facebook pages that have made me keep on keeping on.
