There are a lot of different driveshaft lengths that could be used and they can even be cut shorter & re-splined if needed.

26" SuperJet 90~07 (6R7)
26-3/4" SuperJet 2008+
27" Blaster-760 (64Y)
28-3/4" Blaster-I (62E)
31-3/8" 6K8
33-3/4" 6R8
34" 65R
35-3/4" 66E
36" 63M
36-1/4" 65U

I'd like to see Solas make this one piece stainless unit in a set-back model for about the same price.

At what price point would a setback cast pump w/ drive shaft sell?
What are you guy's thoughts on an aluminum stator section with an extended stainless wear ring section to give you the 2" setback total. I'm weighing some options and getting something along these lines rolling.

A one piece cast stainless setback is an option too, but even heavier than what solas has now. I also don't like the fact that half the prop rides inside the stator housing and if you catch something if can mess up the whole unit.

Well this cast stainless unit sells for around 500 bucks and new longer driveshaft would be around $120 to $170 making a setback pump option more appealing.

Extended pump housings or spacers would be another option but your reduction nozzle brackets would need to be modified or the mounting holes relocated.

You're correct saying stator housing front section should be replicable with a stainless or tough plastic insert on the setback models, which could raise the cost of the unit slightly.

Cool! I will wait until you get them.
I have more questions but I will PM you when the time comes.
Thanks!
Benny

Thrust has them in stock...i got mine two weeks ago
Does anyone know about short cone option for solas pump yet? Or if octane cones will fit?
I was wondering the same. My stubby will fit on it but the diameter was off by a couple mm, would that really make that much of a difference if there was a small lip

OEM quality setback shaft for $120-170? Who is making this? Isn't Skat's shaft over $400
I wouldn't be pushing the whole unit back any further as to require reduction nozzle modification. It would be a direct bolt in.

Jetmaniac makes the shaft.
And Skat may charge $400 for their shaft, but it's about $50 quality.

Yes, solas makes an all SS wear ring as well. We have them on order and will be stocking them.
Is the wear ring replaceable on this Solas pump housing or is it a one piece stainless unit?

Those are brand new A/M driveshaft prices from Jet-World.net and JetManiac makes some good heavy duty driveshafts too.

This is the next big item on my build list. Can we get these with the bearings already pressed in and maybe I can even ship my driveshaft to have it pressed in. I just made the mistake of having a local place press my fx-1 shaft into my SJ pump, and well, long story short my bearings and seals are now screwed and I cant afford to do that to a new mag.
