Square 2 XFT Conversion

Wasn't going to post up anything because of the other guys that have done this but why not. I have a 91 Superjet that was destroyed via large swells from the Atlantic. So I have decided to buy an XFT topdeck (Epoxy biaxial vacuum bagged) not polyester or ester resin. When it is finished hopefully I can hit it with a bat and not worry about it. I have already cut the topdeck off and removed the foam from the tray. It only took a few hours to do it. Unfortunately the front lip was damaged so it had to come off. The lip mold will allow me to build that back up. I will be using 11oz twill carbon fiber and some biaxial with epoxy resin.

I ordered some carbon fiber and went ahead and repaired a few cracks at the back corners and the front right side from some hard landings. Sanded what appeared to be about five pounds of primer off the bottom. Reinforced the underside lip in a few spots with some biaxial and epoxy resin.Filled in the stock exhaust hole with 404 epoxy and put a layer of c/f on the bottom.I recieved some parts from (XFT) Sergio and installed them (scupper and exhaust pipe). The 650 exhaust tube is to small. I think it is 1"3/4 and RN is 2"1/4. XFT tube is 2"1/2. It is pretty trick, lightweight anodized aluminum w/ carbon fiber elbow and carbon fiber cover. He sold me the topdeck an X7 hood, nose piece, pole bracket and hooks and nose mold.(Package for conversion) I also ordered footholds scupper and rear side exhaust with carbon fiber cover. He makes his footholds to your foot size.

They aren't on his website. He makes them already turfed and to fit your shoe size. I don't know why he hasn't posted them on his website yet.
