Did a mock up on the pole too....

just waiting on my pole bushes to be turned down to size (hint hint doug) then i can start assembling, with the location of the pole bracket i need to put the pole on before i can assemble waterbox

also have decided to drop the trim and go with the ATP steering nozzle, i want to try rolls but have no interest in back flips

thanks Don

im very happy with the pole, the -1" steering from ATP used with the Steering Nozzle gives insane throw too

Chris even made a chin pad up for me Special with Visual Carbon and it looks spank!

The Carbs are a true freestyle carb, annular discharge 48mm, uses a 44mm inner ventura and a 48mm throttle valve which gives increased pulse signal for low end snap!

I cant wait to run them with the SS motor

wow, finally an update! looking very nice steve. do you have some curves picked out? Your going to have a sick setup. Are you ready for the real power that motor makes with that TL? Post up a pic of your turn nozzle if you can steve, i still think about getting one every time i look at mine.

Chris has been having some issues with carbs from Mikuni, apparently they have changed the internal design, so im lucky to have this set, the way he jets them there should be minimal tuning

heres a pic of the turn nozzle

Very nice update Steve. I cant wait to check this thing out after you get it tuuned. I really wanted to try it in the other hull but the waves were a little too big for me to try anyone elses boat that day. I wanted to try Josh's Q8 that day too.

did a couple things tonight, put on hood straps, they ended up fitting great under the hood latch system bar and the front then i picked up on the e-box bracket bolts

bonus was this meant i had the stainless bolts spare that i could use on a D Ring which is now mounted at the front for towing/strapping

i did discover another "Jeff-ity" .......... the stock RN exhaust hose isnt long enough for this hull... by approx 2" so i guess its plan B!

Drilled and tapped the holes for the intake grate, thats now fitted!

trying not to go too crazy here and keep my slow pace up!

Steve,l ended up using a marine hose from the bulk head to a stainless joiner to a silicone elbow on the waterbox. The long hose is 36" long.Worked out well.

so the intake inserts are just blanks and you have to tap them? why? Is there room for adjustment or just because every intake is a bit different from the next?

wait what??? its too short. serious? i just bought a new exhaust hose since i realized a split front exhaust wont work in these skis. so now i have to rig something. can you snap a picture of this tube thing you made.

i guess i better slow down my build speed to you and learn the issue from you before moving forward.

Why don't you want to do backflips? Something wrong with backflips? Are you too good for backflips? Can you not afford backflips? Are you scared of backflips? Are rolls really that much better than backflips? I like rolls and backflips. It's good to have balance in your life. LOL

the inserts are in the hull but the pump shoe is blank, the intake grate is an sxr grate that has been cut and extended, i guess as you have to get each one custom made it makes sense to tap the holes to suit

yup, im doing as sanoman suggested, ATP make the silocone hoses and joiners
