Got a lot done with the turf tonight.Covered the chin pad,got the sides glued on and also got the dash done(no pic).First time for me to do footholds, whew!!! what an experience.l have some stuff crammed up in the holds cause l was having some problems getting them to stay.l pretty much torched em' and only hope they will keep their form.l may be redoing them.....again!stunt hull 159.jpg stunt hull 161.jpg stunt hull 160.jpg

Patience man... Mcdog taught me that is the biggest key to turfing. One coat on the hull and one coat on the turf, then wait 15-20 minutes, add a second coat to the turf and the hull, wait another 15-20 minutes, then stick the turf on the hull. Don't try to rush the turf job. Finally when all is done and looks perfect, add some super glue to the edges to help hold them down. Any short cut you do now will be obvious in the first week of riding.

If it comes up though, don't sweat it. It's happened to all of us.

i just did turf. And ive turfed about 7 skis with all diff color turfs. White turf is by far the hardest. It doesnt mold and its thin as ****. your lucky your using black its easier to mold.

Yea,l noticed your turf was thin on the bottom edge of the footholds. That would account for the thinness.Wondered why after looking at the pics.

Stunt hole build-finished

Well, here is the final stage of the build.Started to take it to the lake yesterday but l have an electrical problem somewhere.

Special thanks to chad, which l could not have done it with out his help and advise! The first thing he told me was "think five steps ahead" and l can tell from a couple of problems that came up,l was not following these instructions.LOL Thanks to Chuck and the staff at Xscream and Jetmaniac.Chris you always provide great parts and great service.Six months it took to build,l'm sure it could have been sooner. Thanks to others here on the X for their help! stunt hull 168.jpg stunt hull 166.jpg stunt hull 170.jpg stunt hull 167.jpg stunt hull 169.jpg

That thing looks terrible and no fun at all... You should probably just leave it over at my house so you don't have to see it all the time. ;)

Wow, ski looks really good! Turf and paint clean job! You should be proud of a custom build like that.

Call me if you need help troubleshooting the electrical gremlins..
