x5 or x6...very nice job on the build. Your build is super SANO and a real sharp looking ski. I love simple and clean. With that power plant it should be the best hitting stunt as well.
As a side note, Brock, your's is looking dope too. The paint scheme is the shizz. I'm looking forward to seeing the final product.

Just came in from the lake."Holy Crap"!!! Did the break in on the motor and then opened it up.The 735 is way to strong for me at this point! Xsream power is very smooth thru the power band and awesome!

So far as problems go,l have 3 things l need to deal with. After riding and then checking everything out l found l forgot to seal up my trim tube. The scoop grate is too aggressive and the handle pole is too short.l'm going to try a stock grate first before l do anything with the pole. But you have to ride in the front of the tray,so l'd say i'll be looking for another one.lf someone has stock length pole and would want to trade,l'm open to talking about it.Mine is a -5 xmetal pole with some miner scratches in it.l would want something equivalent in exchange. Not interested in a stock one.

As far as ride and making turns, the ski will turn on a dime.Just a tad surprising when l made the couple of turns, but something that would l will get used too.All in all l'm impressed with her.Just need to work on the problems and learn to ride it.

Camera sucks, but a friend of mine came out and took some pics on his.l'll post those later.

I have uber envy right now. I want to be out riding so bad. but little things add up. Looks awesome, and glad to hear you have minor\easy fixable speed bumps. I think someone else switched to a stock grate too, I have a scoop (protec) also.

Where's your limiting rope? You start getting crazy on that hull and land funny with pole extended it could be trouble. Be careful with that hull man. You've got it looking too nice with lots of work invested.

I know chad did the open intake grate and I followed his lead. It one more adjustment that can be made to bring the nose up at speed but the longer pole was far more helpful.

One thing to note... When you're riding at a high angle of attack (nose high and low speed), the pole will be a lot closer to you than it is when you're planed off.

Great ride today!Tried jumping and the ski just launches when you hit the lip,but with the pole being short it feels real uncomfortable on the landings.l also just nailed it a few times from an almost dead stop and like others have said, the stunt likes to fly! Feels very light, first time l've had a ski like that.A friend of mine has some good scales so l will post the weight later in the week.

l'm thinking about maybe a stock length pole and go from there.l had a couple of pm's on -2 poles, but l wonder if they will work!? l still think they will be too short.

Problems, none today.l siliconed up the trim cable tube on both ends and that was the only leak.l also cut the center out of the scoop grate, plus cut the ride plate flush with the azz end. That helped out and got rid of most of the plowing.

This is where the adjustable poles come in so handy.

Any chance you can borrow one from somebody so you can try out different lengths and then make just one purchase once you get it nailed down?

Yea,no crazy poop yet.But you are right.l do have a limiting rope, but going to wait to install until l get the pole issue resolved.

l feel the same way about scratching it up.l'll be careful till then! LOL

I would think a -2" pole with x-metal steering and straight bars would still be ridiculous. If you even had a stock steering plate and bars, you could run that and see what the difference in length is and then go from there. I think stock bars and stock turn plate vs the x-metal setup was around 3-3.5". That would be the cheapest solution for trial purposes and would let you know if a -2 pole would be enough with your x-metal setup. As it stands now, your pole is about 7-8" shorter than mine is and I wouldn't mind too much if mine was another inch longer.

We have one RRP on a 800 kawi and that's it.l'm doing some homework now to see what will work.l sold my stock sj pole a couple of months ago,so l'm SOL there too.l'm thinking about robbing my fx1 pole to try it out. That might work...

I drool over wrx's all day, thats the car im saving for once I get this ski payed off to my parents. Maybe you should try a stock pole reinforced with some carbon thatd look nice, be strong and be light.

More success this past week by changing a couple of things.l bought an pole through Mark Gomez at ac racing. l got a standard length pole and then added the xmetal adj steering(already had that part).Puts me for my size in the right position. The xmetal pole was waaay too short. Probably awesome for backflippers, but for rec riding it just was not practical.l also put some holes for air in the rear of the hood, which really helped out,the mighty 735 needs air.l still need to dial in the carbs, cause still running rich. But at least it's not bogging and starving for air.

l need to weigh the stunt, but she is light.Just a blip on the throttle from a slow nose up position and your launched.l really hate getting to know a new ski,it seems like you have to relearn everything.l've been riding my fx1 for about 8 years and l feel like one with the ski.But l tried a few wake jumps and again you freackin launch! Can't wait for some more confidence.l'll post some pics of my redneck looking air holes in my hood tomorrow.l waited too long tonite.

tennessee engineering at its best! glad to hear everything is working good. But I bet it was nerve wrecking cutting holes in the hood after paint. I know its a ski and its gona get banged up but I hate cutting or doing anything to the ski after paint. I took a huge chunk of paint with me while taking out my engine today
