Sano...been watching all of you "highroller" guys' builds. Nice work. Looks to be real well done and thought out. I'm looking forward to seeing those things backflip this summer. That x-metal bling is sweet.

l think that Chad and l are the only kit skis so far being built.Would like to see someone else jump in with a kit build.

This weekend was just small things.l did get my refinising project done for my mrs! ln the process of building up and leveling off an area for the batt box to bond too.Pic of the alum batt box, kind of crude looking, but it should work just fine. Also got the "liner" cleaned up and smoothed out.lt fits just inside the edge of the hood.Just need to bond it and get the rough edges sanded down on the hood.

Good idea! l already was going to drill some holes on the bottom to let the fuzor come thru to help bond it better. So l'll just drill some up thru the sides. Now that l look at waternut's,l just don't like the bolts so close to the edge.Seems on good hard slam,l can see the batt go flying.

When I mounted my battery, I taped the bottom of the battery then sprayed with PVA layed 7 layers of 200g mat on it then bonded the' tray ' into the hull along with hold down hooks for one OEM rubber strap.

It has survived about 80 back flip attemts etc over the last 3 months!
and it weighs 214g !

Well mine has held up plenty fine through all sorts of bashing. I agree the bolts are too close to the edge of the metal but that was my own stupidity. I cut the plates with every intention of using a smaller diameter bolt. Then once I went to buy the bolts, 1/4" was the smaller diameter I could find in a 6" length and I had to order that. Either way, the battery is held in place by compression and the bolts see tension loads. Any lateral forces are minimal.

My lazy a$$ got busy last week on the Stunt.l had a set back on the deck to hull fitting, but l'm past that problem.Kind of too pissed to work on it for a few days. But l got got it fixed.

Yesterday l spent time on the handle pole.l have been thinking about running two hoses up thru the pole for some time now.Another member on here gave me some advise on how he ran a single 1 1/2" hose on his ski.So l removed most of the foam from the pole and was able to put to hoses up in it.l cut a small hole on top of the pole, and when finished the pole pad will cover it up.The only thing that could happen is maybe when your running at full throttle the engine might need more air.But l really don't spend a lot of time running WFO.May end up being a problem, but l can always put some air coming into the hood. Also worked on getting the gas tank lined up and cut the hole for the external fuel fill.

You are SOOOO not alone on that one. If I'm doing something custom or I break something, I don't have an issue fixing it but when it comes to something that should not have been an issue in the first place, it makes me :Banane36:

Did you start by forcing the nose and working your way back with rivets? The nose definitely doesn't want to line up without some manhandling.

is it the bracket too much forward?
, the handlepole might not touch the hood and slam on the upper deck,
correct me

l had to realize it is mine to fix.So l got over it.Love the cartoon, that's me on the left!

Yea,that is a problem.l can get the hull and deck to touch at the very tip of the nose.Rivets and lots of C clamps.

The pole does hit the upper deck,so l will have to pad the hood to keep it from hitting. One of the other Stunt builders put their bracket back about 12" and the ski wants to stay nose up.l may not have the ideal "sweet spot",but the bracket is close to where it should be.Also look on Chads build,he has placed his foward too.Lucas,l know you guys down there in fla have a lot of experiance with aftermarket skis,l respect your question and if you want to give your opinion, please do!

i will put money your not as pissed as i am will be starting a tread. soon, thinking of returing it.. that pissed.

but yours is turing out great. keep it up

Good luck,man

So today we bonded the hull and deck together.See,one week before the guys at the shop even thought about it.

Top and bottom fit about as well as everyone else's build.Laid out the epoxy on both top and bottom to make sure we didn't have any voids. The nose went down first and l laid the pop rivets to it.We then forced the azz end down.Another engineering goof on the "high" roller's part! l think we used about 20 clamps down the sides with 4 welding clamps on the rear.l then put the pop rivets down the rest of both sides and rear. Now wait 24 hours to make sure the Fuzor set up.l'll post pics tomorrow, cause we just didn't have time. The bonding agent sets up in 50 minutes and we just made it.But that poop ozzed out everywhere,so l think we did good.

l'll start blocking out the body this week, then paint!
