Also on the breathers cut a v on both side & push the tube flush inside the hood. This really helps to keep the water out!

Also remember to drill the drain holes on the rear side of the hood, I dont think Tem drilled them.

Not the best pic but you get the idea.

Josh,
I did my two main hoses in the same place yours. I have a baby motor so I didn't need a third one.

I like the V cut idea. I just measured the depth between the liner and the shell and made sure the hoses were pushed in most of the way.

What drain holes are you talking about in the rear?

I second that in the drain holes, I'm not following, how wide should I make the v's , how many do you think ? Make it look like a hole saw, sort of. Once you make the vs you insert the hose til it bottoms out right?I think I am following you on that one but I'm lost on the drain holes.

The back bottom lip could (should IMO) have a drain hole so water can't sit in your hood up to the level of the breather ducts.

If you are installing the breather hoses too, and wanted to show a brother these v's that you are talking about, I wouldn't complain :) I care about this thing too much to f it up :)

For those of you keeping score at home, the reason I haven't updated this is because I've been working non stop to take care of all the details on this, the project is 99% finished I just need to trim back a few of the fuellines that are just a bit too long for my liking, ski fires great! It will be in the water this am. Do not tale assembling one of these skis lightly! Start to finish there are a ton of hours needed. I owe my girl for allowing me to take a weekend off from our relationship for my yellow mistress! My build is very good, but There are a few things I may have done differently now that I have hands on time with one of these, I'm sure ed's build will be top notch!

So how did you like the Ski? I know I can't wait to get my glass freak together, had my FW ski out Sunday for a few minutes in the surf...

Ski ran great, pics at wave daze will be upcoming, I have a few slight issues to work out between now and this weekend, slight electrical problem with the battery not charging, pretty sure it's a stator wire that not connected all the way, I re-did all my connectors with bullet quick disconnects so the ebox is completely removable. I am strongly of the opinion that I have a bad connector. When tuning the ski was AMAZING! seriously I burned 7 gallons of gas all weekend with my 710. the ski jumps indescribably better than my SJ, I may kill myself this year, turns fat than my fat arse can but I'm working on that. I couldn't be happier! Berry helped me look over to make this great ski even better. We are going to go with a little longer ride plate, my D-cut plate makes it a little bit spinny for me, but it was wicked cool to see Chris "Jetmaniac" pulling 360s down the wave fronts on it, my steering is now way way short. I need to get a different set-up with riser bars, but with a few small tweaks it's going to be even better. I need to adjust the hood hooks for a little more pressure on the seal. All in all a lot of work, but I'm so proud of it! Pics coming in a few min, I need to download them from my phone. My buddy Dave landed his first ever backflip on it!
