lt looks like you trimmed the edges of the pad.l guess that would make a smooth transition when you lay the turf over it? l'm doing my turf this week and first time l've had to deal with footholds.

yea use a NEW razor blade after you put the padding down. I always do that for a smooth transition. Also it assures that the turf will be sticking to a surface not floating in air at the edges. I used about 4 razor blades doing that much becuase as soon as the not really sharp it tears the pad instead of cutting it like butter.

im not gonna say anything about the hoodseal until its water tested. so far though it looks like it will work well. I cut it in the middle in some spots to help it seat better.

I'll second the sanding of the pad. I use a corner kat and it will shape however you want it. No date on the mini-ride yet. Probably early August. I'm working on it.

Almost finished the turf tonight with the help of my fiance. The unfinished part will be black with white inside the ffh. I am very happy with how it came out. Im thinking about siliconing the edges of all the turf. Ive done this on 2 of my friends 550's and it seems to help the edges from ever coming up. Anyone have any previous experience with this? I dont like superglue becuase it makes the turf hard. Hopefully finnish the turf tomorrow. Then waiting on parts to arrive. I have a x metal adjustable handle pole , x metal scupper , x metal steering on the way from jetmaniac!

Putting silicone to help seam the edges together seems like a good idea.Guys use it to seal the edges of the turf on the bottom side of the rail. Can't see why it would not work. And l never have luck with super glue.
