Custom/Hybrid Superfreak Review - Ride, Buying Experience, Quality

Well... I'm 5'8" and 160 lbs. And ride 90% flat and maybe ocean once a year. Boat chasing, cruising, but mostly working on flatwater tricks. Full carbon, -5" with a front foothold from Tem. Can't friggin wait either. But need the lag time from the build to finish getting cash together. Should be ready by the end of March ish. Still stoked and going nuts. lol!

OK it's silly question time. What ride plate are you guys using, or does it come with a ride plate? Don't worry... There will be more questions to come lol!

A standard Superjet plate will fit, but you'll need to drill new holes for the rear mounting bolts (or use a SN plate).
I got Tem to build me a carbon rocker'ed plate. it doesn't come free with the hull, but it's reasonably priced.

We d-cut a stock rideplate for mine, they have to be spaced down in most cases along with the intake grate to get the appropriate angles and fit

Yep, I have a stock d cut and love it. I cut mine flush then d cut it but I have a longer hull. You might want to play with different lengths a little.

Dang. I gave my carbon plate away with my carbon presuperfreak hull because I assumed the carbon badass came with a custom sized rockered carbon rideplate.

Assume makes an ass out of u and me. Just another thing I need to add to the list to talk to Tem about.

Matt, it seems like your plate has been fine. Are there any pics of your ride plate posted up?

Agreed. I love mine in the surf, but even in the surf I could go shorter for sure. If you don't like a nose high boat just make sure you put a normal straight nozzle on there and a ride plate that is a touch longer and it won't be nose high at all. My -1.25" hull with a d cut plate rides flatter than a stock length superjet with extended ride plate.
