Handlepole is on, nosepiece is on (not real happy with how I have it on currently), handlebars/cables/etc are on, hood latch is on, lots of progress today.

It's Rustoleum Enamel--allegedly very hard, but I'm not seeing that yet. I might spray another coat and not touch it for a day or so, but I'm honestly not too concerned about looks anymore. I'm bringing Team Ugly back with a vengeance with this ski.

Pancakepete front foothold is in, electric box brackets are in, handlepole is completely done, steering cable is in on both ends, water lines to the pump cavity are in, Turbomuff is in.

I still have stuff to do, but waiting on 3 packages to arrive tomorrow before I can finish up. X-metal scuppers (going in pump area, so can't put pump in yet), turf (can put the padding in and maybe a piece or two), and exhaust pipes/couplers/elbows to go from stinger around the front and back to the Turbomuff.

I also forgot to rebuild the intermediate housing, so going to try to pick up a bearing/seals tomorrow or may just run it for a few days as-is and rebuild it next week.

Tray is turfed. I'll do the rails in the morning and plan on riding Sunday instead of tomorrow---that'll give me time to get the exhaust routed/secured and make sure it's ready to go.

Lookin wonderful But Dude don't cheap out on crappy paint after all you have gone through for this build. The problem with the cheap crap is when you want to make it nice later then the paint is non compatible with quality automotive product's and then you have a mess and have to remove all of the base to be safe! Just my thought's on the whole deal Bad ass ski DUDE

What you see is what you get, the hood/nosepiece/pole is all I'm painting for now. I may paint next spring with some good base/clear coat.

Nice! Cant wait to see that thing on the water!! :cheer2:

Good thing you didn't stick around for me to do the ffh. I'm not happy with how the bottom of it came out and may redo that part if I can't glue some small pieces in to fill the gaps well enough.

UUUMMM Actually you get what you do, and I was not trying to offend you. I was just offering some advice on paint compatability and thought that maybe you were not aware of the future problem's you might encounter.(Someday I will be able to type like I speak.)

I've painted quite a few skis, believe me I had bigger plans for this ski but they changed out of necessity. The hood had decent paint on it and the nosepiece is gelcoated, so stripping them to repaint won't be a problem.
