Where is the scupper goin?

I was planning on using 2 Sea-doo ball check valve drains, but now I'm maybe doing 2 scuppers pointed toward the pump cavity. I guess I need to order something since I might be able to ride next week.

I just reinforced the right side, letting it set up a bit before flipping the ski to do the left side. After that, I get to start on the nose and fixing the hood where the original owner tore it up.

Left side is reinforced, nose is next.

To anyone who works with carbon/kevlar and makes it look good, you have my respect. I didn't have that much trouble, but I also cut it smaller than where it was going. I'm not going for looks, just function.

First 3 layers of twill are laid in the nose to give me something to work against tomorrow. Next up is the heavier stuff plus some carbon and carbon/kevlar.

The lower lip is built and curing now. Lots of fiberglass twill, some carbon fiber on the outer part of the bondrail, and some carbon/kevlar with more fiberglass twill to wrap it all up.

Next I'll do the inside. This should be fairly bulletproof as beefy as I've built it---I'm sure I'll test it out quick since I seem to love hitting bottom.

The inside of the nose is done, lots of twill and carbon/kevlar with thickened resin filling the bondline first.

Man on a mission!! Are you going to pour some foam in the nose and put another layer of cloth over it?

I was planning on it. I'm also considering making a foam insert that is removable, but that might take too much time after shaping/glassing it to make it waterproof. We'll see.

I want to be riding by the end of this week, that would give me 2 weeks to get back in shape before Cleveland.

Performance should be great, 'looks', not so much. White hull, dark red top deck (red/black carbon/kevlar), blue metallic hood, white nosepiece, gray turf, and raw aluminum handlepole. Should be beautiful!!!!

Darin, I used aluminum foil to make a form to pour some foam into. The foil peeled right off, and it fit perfect in the nose once I trimmed the excess off.

Did your pole arrive today?

I'm considering a trash bag, but might just do some small pours and glass over. Right now I'm grinding on the hood to beef it up from some damage by the previous owner. (Steve @ Watercraft Factory rocks btw)

No pole...usps or ups or fedex? Sometimes the USPS comes back with packages after doing the letter run which they already did.

USPS. I just hope it's not a scene from Ace Ventura. " Sounds broken. I'm sure it was very nice."
