Progress!
Not sure if I mentioned it, but I've lowered the tray on each side of the pump tunnel. We'll see how it turns out, but i'm excited.
I didn't get a photo of the addtional layer of CF on the exhaust hole and one way hole.
Decided to install the FFH last night. Used spray paint to guide me as to where to remove gelcoat etc so I can make a good bond when I glass it in. I used thickened resin.
Before I installed it, I formed some foam to go inside... little extra buoyancy.
I dropped 3-4 screws to hold it in place while I riveted it. Then laid down some basic glass. I think the rivets and epoxy resin will provide the majority of the strength, so i'm not killing it on glass on the sides. If it feel weak i'll build it up.
I filled in the front part of the gunwales with house foam.
Last night was my first time to play with two part foam. I made small batches because I wasn't sure how it would react etc. Pretty cool stuff, gets pretty warm too... I was using my hand to stop some of it from escaping from the cardboard mold I made... and it got warm.
I'll pull the cardboard off today and see how it looks. Hopefully it didn't stick too badly. I'm thinking I shoulda put down some plastic or something.
Photo's are out of order....
