That west coast is gonna be LOUD!!!! i have a buddy running one in his 750 and at a certain RPM is gets really annoying to ride. That was just from my experience though.

Did anyone else have to go to Sears to get their photo taken when they were kids? Or maybe "Olan Mills".... Jesus Christ... Olan Effin Mills....
Or worse... did anyone's mom ever go have Glamour Shots taken? No??? Well you're missing out. My Mom did... and she's a wonderful lady.
Last night, I finally finished putting my engine together. This is after my local engine guru... we'll call him Mr Miyagi... (Except he's like... really really caucasian) had me redo 13 things cause he's kind of OCD about engine stuff. He makes me want to pull my hair out sometimes, but I love him, in a non homo, psudo bi-ethnic sort of way.
So the last major step was installing the head pipe. The used pipe I purchased had steel bolts that were rusted, but did come loose. I ordered a set of replacement stainless bolts from Jetmaniac aka "Chico, the dealer for my addiction" So I go to snug down the fancy stainless bolts, and they slip... no snuggy snuggy. Upon further inspection... it turns out the previous owner used some sort of standard or coarse metric bolt in the holes. So I start to melt down a little... Talk to Chico, (I know this is redundant, but Chico's customer service beyond top notch... dude knows his stuff) and he lays out a couple of options. The most correct option being inserting a Heli-Coil in order to maintain the correct size bolt that FP used from stock. Quick call to the local Napa results in great success.... Hop in the Dad-mobile, arrive and ask for the heli-coil kit.
Guy goes in back, brings it out... hands it to me... I say "Sweet! How much is it?"
He says... "Fifty Eight Dollars..."
And then looks at me like this....
And i'm like...
So yeah.......
Look, its kinda like the Hull... It is what it is. I either pony up for a over priced Heli-Coil kit or I wait possibly another week trying to find one cheaper and then waiting for it to ship from Bangladesh. Nope.....
Its a nice kit, comes with 12 Heli coils, a tap and a tool to help drive the coils in. SO... not that anyones gonna see this... but if you need heli coils for your stipped out manifold, holla atcha boi.
And what in the name of that bastard who knows not his father Mohammad (YouTube: Innocence of Muslims. Go...) does any of this have to do with Glamor shots of your mom?

It's acceptable if you feel the need to do this...

Its Duplicolor gloss black engine paint, with the engine clear coat. Two keys to the process... Prep, obviously, and wet sanding and polishing the finish.
I thought about powdering it, but I wasn't certian it would hold up like the paint. Time will tell.. I can always have it blasted and coated.
