Yea, everything being upside down is really messing with me.

I dont know if anyone mentioned this, but it is possible that the driveshaft is actually centered between the midshaft inserts and the driveshaft hole is drilled off center giving you that illusion. I have sent it before.

Ha, I figured that might get confusing. In this case, all orientation is with the boat flipped upside-down. I actually measured from the mid-shaft bolt holes, and they're pretty close to the being perfectly centered around the driveshaft through hole in the firewall.

Good point. That's exactly why it is important to mount a midshaft housing up to the inserts for aligning purposes. I think Tem did the midshaft inserts in this hull though, so they should be pretty close... I would think.

Yeah Tem did these ones, I measured them and they're pretty good.

If you want I can see if I have any cores laying around to send your way. Probably not worth the shipping back and forth though. At least throw yours on once the pump is shimmed and without tension placed on the shaft see if the bolts line up. Better than nothing.

Your running around getting nowhere without having a midshaft assembly for alignment. Pump shoe is not a reference, it is glued in to fit the rest of your driveline. Pump shoe will likely be hanging low in the water even after grinding the top to fit the pump tunnel and line up with wear ring

It will be fine if the shoe pokes out a little. The intake grate will anyway. The shoe is modded and installed to line up with the pump/mishaft/engine, not the other way around.

I think until you find out if the drive shaft is square with the bulk head you don't know where your problem is stemming from.

If the shaft is at an angle I would correct the angle before doing any grinding, shimming, etc to move the whole pump up or down as a unit. If you go through all that work to move the pump and center the driveshaft between the midshaft mount holes, but your driveshaft is still coming through the bulk head at an angle you're stilled screwed. You need a midshaft without the housing or a piece of tubing to fit snug over the drive shaft so you can measure if the bitch is sqaure with the bulk head. Confirm one segment at a time, dont go cutting and grinding until you determine where the origin of the problem is

Pump alignment being on the back-burner till I can fully see what the best route to take for getting her straightened out, I decided to reinforce further the ass end of the ski inside the tray, and then got to locking in the footholds. It actually is one of the easier parts of a build to do! Kind of relaxing relatively speaking.

Black. But not with white turf.

And I have a Midshaft out of a WaveRaider. Same housing as RN. I can send it to you if you want to borrow it for the aligning part. You will have to press out the actual midshaft, but it is yours to borrow if it will help you out. And you wont have to press it back in, as itll never be used in a WaveRaider again.l
