You are already doing this by having to approving/disapprove every post that in the feedback system.

How is deleting all posts other than the two involved any different?

Currently, the drama comes from some posts being approved and others not being approved, which opens the door to people screaming favoritism.

I guess some of you dont understand what BK and SJ are trying to say..

It will have to moderated only to the point of both parties will only be approved to post in a negative thread.
I feel the only way someone else can post in it is someone of the main two parties post someones name as in the Nick/BombThread/Kennay thread.
Kennay only chimed in to defend himself after his name was called out.

I hope im right.

unmoderate it and lock it down if it gets out of control. kinda like every other forum.

absolutly...

I frequent:

clubwrx.com, nasioc, handgunforum.net, KTMtalk and a few others....

this site absolutely has the most "censorship" of any other that I have ever been on...

on the flip side, it is also THE MOST "member tolerating" of ANY I have ever seen....

usually you just get banned and thats the end of it....Granted, this is a MUCH smaller community

#2 is the most logical solution....

an ebay style feedback is the BEST solution....a rating, 1 line comment and the rest goes via PM..then do away with the feedback forum

kennays posts were pertinent and he is an involved party.... kinda like a class action negative feedback.

Seriously? I can name 3 r/c forums that I started to frequent late last year, a tile forum, and a Dave Ramsey forum that are crazy moderated.

I got banned from one r/c forum just from a pm conversation with 2 admins/moderators there, not even from public comments, that just blew me away.

The Dave Ramsey forum will lock/delete anything (and eventually ban you) if deviate from his plan one iota.

The tile forum flat out requires you to put your first name in your signature, and will combine all of your threads into one big one even if they are different questions/topics 'just to keep things together'. (just happened to me last week, and if you read that thread now it makes zero sense because the beginning is a question about how to set glass tile and the end is completed pics with no glass tile anywhere because I decided not to use it, plus the title is about glass tile and I can't change it)

I'd say you visit wide open forums with few rules because compared to the ones I listed, we're a full on mutiny.

Based on your suggestion though, Kennay wouldn't be allowed to post in that thread, the feedback wasn't about it, or are you changing your suggestion now?

it was really strange, seriously, and it's a permanent ban I guess too since it's still in effect. it's my username, ip addresses, you name it. You'd think I shot his pet bunny and ate the pancake off it's head. I don't remember the details, but he said something like 'your words have a sharp edge to them', just total geek speak or whatever.

It was out of control, that's why it's the way it is now, plus we're a much much larger site now so I'm sure it would get completely out of control.

It was never really "out of control". It was fine until people started to bash a site founder and then mods didn't know what to do. What's the big deal if a thread gets all "out of control" for a few hrs. It's only the interweb:pancake: Just lock it & move on.
People should have the right to tell their negative expereince with someone uncensored & unmoderated. Sometimes people will only speak up if others have had problems. Pwctoday doesn't have to have negative posts approved & it's much bigger than this site:fing02:

I voted number 1 but number 2 would work well also. The only problem with number 2 is, alot of times there are other people that are somewhat involved with pertinent information to the thread. Take the latest thread in question for example. Someone came out and said, hey I had work done by this person and I am very unhappy with it. Well, other people had the same problem and jumped in and said the same thing with pics and all. Thats why I voted to leave it as is. Some people will think its a hitler syndrome going on, but the mods here do an excelent job at weeding out the crap in the neg forum.

You're a bit off on the reason, the Pancake/Paul thread was part of it as was a thread or two about Steve/Watercraft Factory and even some with Waterdawg. Anyone remember those 'fun times'?

You're assuming we are online 24/7 and watch every post/thread. We aren't and don't. Would you like us to be?

I'm going to need a pay raise and more catalog points if I have to do that.

uh, Mick just used Kennay as a good example of a 3rd party and why they would/should be approved.

UH, i know.

kennay is an involved party.
