You know what's worse than changing out a 6600 Watt Weiss Drill Spindle? Changing it out 4 times in one shift!!!!!:confused::confused::confused:

3 failed "Factory Re-manufactured" units back to back, right out of inventory.:mad::mad::mad:

$27K just doesn't buy what it used to.:oops::oops::oops:

The original unit was plain worn out after 6 years and 7,051,516 drill cycles.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

The first replacement unit had the encoder fail in the first 5 minutes, (6PM),:mad:
The second must have had rust on the bearings as they started growling during the first minute of the warm up sequence, (8:30PM),:mad::mad::mad:
The third unit failed an internal limit switch that detects the drawbar is retracted, (11:30PM).:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
The fourth and final spindle I stole from one of our other machines in another building and moved it over to get this machine up and running, (3:30AM).:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

I only understand this a little bit but it sounds like it really sucked.

I just re-watched Blazing Saddles for the first time in a LONG time. I enjoy it more now than I did before, but it disturbs me that a movie like that could not be made today. It steps straight into the racism and laughs at it. I don't think we can do that anymore. There are some stand-up comics that can, but most everything mainstream has become PC/Pussified.

Came out to a note on my truck at lunch today stating that " Hello, I noticed a dent on my car and missing light. I was parked next to you on 3/30/17. Black BWMC Name/Number ....Additional posted note taped to top note....I also noticed you have fresh black mark on the back of your truck. Thanks, Signature and number"

Funny thing is, I drove my other truck last Thursday that is black that also had a Vxr in the back of it that I was pulling apart but somehow I hit her with my White truck that same day. Makes you wonder ...

I didn't want to throw any more mismatched parts into our 10 yr old 2T Heat Pump so we opted to upgrade to a 2.5T Bryant 14SEER Heat Pump before the temps get any higher.

Our old unit was still working but very marginal on days above 90F and the power bill was almost double what it was when we first moved in 3 years ago. They replaced a failed exchanger 2.5 years ago and it's been marginal ever since. Apparently it's been leaking as the coil was corroded out already. The one part we wanted to fail, (condenser), so we could claim it on our home warranty is the one part that just won't die!

Fast forward to today, day 3 with the new system and day 3 with no AC at the end of the day.

They sent the tech back out just hours after they finished the installation and then again today.

Apparently we got a sticky TXV valve that needs replacing and parts won't be in till tomorrow some time.

And it decided to hit the 90's today!

It holds temp at 70F till late afternoon and then locks up. We feel it work in from time to time so it manages to keep the house under 76F at least. Around 4am it clears up and we wake up to a 70F house and start the cycle all over again.

Needless to say, I'm not very impressed right now but at least it's been able to keep the house under 80F.

I won't even go into detail about the scratch they put in our wood floors, the mess they left in our bathroom or all the cigarette butts they flicked onto the lawn.

Make them pay to repair the scratch.............

The scratch isn't big enough to justify a full repair but I have to hit them with something to make up for their shortcomings.

I'm thinking of getting them to throw in 2-3 years of their maintenance service plans. Its a brand new system so it shouldn't require much more than cleaning the coils and checking the drains. The plans are $160/yr.

I'm more concerned that the system was put under undue strain that reduces the overall service life. The bill is likely to fall on the next owners but still, going into a 3 day old system to make repairs isn't a good way to start off.

Our old system was questionable so spending the money for a new unit was a way to reset the clock and start fresh.

We spent the money but we still have a questionable system.:mad::mad::mad:
