Glad that had a happy ending, that had the potential to have been real ugly.
A similar thing happened to me back when I drove a 95 Ram 2500 with the V-10. I launched in first off a green light and the gas pedal stayed on the floor when I grabbed second. A buddy watching from the sidewalk said my front tires actually lifted off the road. The scary part was that I was not the first car at the light. Another buddy, thankfully in a quicker truck, was right in front of me so I nearly ran him over. Thankfully Dodge they still built manual transmissions back then so I was able to push in the clutch and work it out.
My issue was the stock floor mat had jammed the pedal. Funny thing is, I solved my problem by buying one of the very first versions of those molded floor mats.

My weather tech mats will snag the clutch pedal if you push too far, or the brake pedal when bleeding brakes. Would be cool if they just made them an inch longer
If this sort of thing happened to a Prius driver there would be a lawsuit...lol
Co-workers asks for my help. Ok, fortunately the wiring issues he’s dealing with, I just went thru a few weeks back.
So I re-research it, print both schematics, hand write for him the new translated and correct connector pin outs. Here you go, this worked fir me, please give me back the documents when your done? Ok he says thanks a lot.
Later I see him with a different nicely labeled connector in his hands, how did it go I ask ?
He tells me Frank, another tech gave him this labeled connector and Frank says he wired it this way!
ok, I ask to see it and I compare it to my wiring... I find it’s pined out wrong, 2 circuits mis-wired.....see this is wrong!
So guess how he wires it up ?
complete wast of my time, then after he’s soldered and wired this circuit for the 3 time, he wants to keep my schematic cause apparently it the only one that works..

That’s a pretty specific update. I like being in the know so good on UPS.
Meanwhile, FedEx drives past our house 3 times a day but yet 4 out of 5 packages have delays because they claim our address isn’t in their system. SMH

Ocd I’ve had that happen as a FedEx driver. They print your deliveries for the day and if the address doesnt come up it won’t print out in your daily manifest. You’ll get to the end of your day at the opposite end of town and say aw hell naw I ain’t going all the way back.
The right thing to do is deliver the next day though. If they are missing it multiple days straight something is wrong. Call the local FedEx depot and ask for you address to be added into thwart system

Here is one for you. I sent this gentleman in Canada gaskets on Dec. 2, 2020. It took 12 days to get there. Now it has been sitting for 3 months. The guy lives 40 minutes from where they are in Vancouver, but he cannot go get them. I quit shipping out of the US right after this. This is unacceptable and it puts me and the customer in a very uncomfortable situation and we dont really know what to do. We have called USPS and Canada post and they cant help up... They say you just have to wait. WTF!

This is the old man in me rant...
On a lot of the forums I am on the most recent trend is for someone to make a post that is just a link to their youtube video. I am on a forum because I want to read about and talk about something, not just watch your youtube video. If I wanted to watch your youtube video I would go to youtube. Just seems like people trying to get other people to watch their youtube videos and not really contributing anything to the site.
That's it for my grumpy old man, trivial complaint rant today....

One of our neighbors on the pond asked us to move our turtle cams so they don’t show their house. They recently built a back patio with a fire pit and are understandably creeped out by a camera pointed at them 24/7.
I have it anchored but when the water level drops, the platform swings in the wind and tends to always land with their house in the background.
I have a new design I’m playing with but after a few hours of playing with angles, I don’t think I’m going to get the same great shots that the original layout provided.
Time will tell but where this is trivial is that I have much better things to do with my precious days at home than rebuild TI for the third time.
But, our neighbors privacy is pretty important too.

Installed a used torrent 148 in the reaper. New skat impeller and new bearings. Spent at least an hour getting the drive shaft lined up perfectly. Gave the engine a once over, cleaned the carbs put the wax v3 timing curve on the zeel. She starts right up runs for about 10 seconds and she dies with an awful sound.. Pulled the tank back out and check the flywheel thinking the bendix or starter got stuck (also installed new brass bushings) Ended up being my pump is froze! Not sure if its the impeller stuck or the bearings yet.. I pulled the pump out, could not get it to budge with a wrench, said f it, and started drinking... Odd thing is I was able to spin it no problem by hand before installing her. Was a little tight but figured that was the new seals..

Do you have the own rubber washer installed behind the prop? Had same issue.... removed it and it was fine.
