I think they are dive boots, I got them from the dive shop a year ago. I used to go through 1 pair a year from riding sitdowns, and wlaking on shore these ones are freaking awesome they have a real rubbery sole like a shoe, super grippy on the bottom and sides, and keep my toes warm.

2mm neoprene socks + wrestlin shoes = A+

Just so ya know its a great combo, my wrestlin shoes fit tight before and even with the socks still felt fine. Just got out of Lake Superior had to go for a quick ride after some mods and repairs, water temps 58 degrees and never even thought about my feet. I picked some up at Gander mountain for 20 bucks, they arent tight around the ankle because all they had was large but put them on before a wetsuit and they fit tight.

Best shoes for freestyle and surf riding?

I have been looking for the right shoe that's comfortable and covers my ankles for freestyle / surf riding.. I have been looking at the slippery siphon boot and jet pilot holeshot boot, what do you guys wear and like best?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Only Asics wrestling shoes for me too. Been wearing them for 15 years. You gotta get the ones with a all rubber sole! Some have rubber but have synthetic leather patches in between the rubber on the bottom and it gets slimy after awhile. I cant stand Slippery zip up type boots. Those you cant tighten up like shoe strings to get a goood, tight rigid feel on your feet.

Chuck Taylor knock offs from Wal Mart and some 2mil wet suit socks. Sand can't get in and has a lot better thermal protection than wearing nothing for those cold winter rides. I paid $15 for the shoes and another $15 for the socks and so far they've lasted about a year.
