I think you have every color of the rainbow in there! so much for an internal fuel fill with this thing? would that be even possible?

If you turn the kart tank sideways and put it right up against the engine, you can fill it internally. I gave that a lot of consideration but I decided I wanted a bilge pump there instead. I figure since this ski has dual scuppers and no bulkhead, a bilge pump up front is the logical location since the only time you need the bilge pump is when the ski is sitting still and the nose is lower in that situation. Any other time, the scuppers are dumping the water and the bilge pump will be dry anyway...hopefully. lol

wow yea it is pretty tight. i think the two inches ive got is going to be a big help. well post some pics of it in the water and let us know how it rides. did u do a hood seal. i think im just going to try it without it because of how tight the hood fits and see what happens. yea i got my bilges put in tonight but i put them towards the rear. tuesday i should be able to get mine all assembled i hope. looks good though man.

Hey, I have a digital video camera that plugs right into the usb port . Let's shoot some video this week so we can post it. It would be huge .... bigger than the infamous Patterson video of BIGFOOT ! That would put the NAY SAYERS IN THERE PLACE .

That water is gonna be COLD! We need to get that dry suit from Gregg. Of course Matt E would consider it a hot tub temperature.

How cold is it?

I was out yesterday in 44 degree water. I did the first sub without helmet for the year and it was refreshing, but not painful.

Actually my thermometer was showing around 58° under my dock all weekend and I checked once at night to make sure the sun wasn't affecting it. Not warm by any means but a far cry from the 44-46° that I saw in the quick rides pre/post Daytona.

The plan is to get it on the water this evening to give it a quick test. It does still need a couple things to be done to it but they're minor and shouldn't affect my test ride. I still need to install the bilge pump. The primer is in the ski but not mounted and the tubes for the hood are still sitting in my shop.

I'll try to get some kind of video up fairly soon but probably won't be tonight.

Sorry in advance for the teaser but pictures first and video before the night is over. First ride lasted about 2 minutes and one of the hose clamps snapped. Second ride was good but as I was hooking up the camera it sunk at the ramp because one of the scupper flaps sheared off (do your 'I told you so' dance mcdog). I'm just thankful it happened at the ramp. I plugged the scupper for the third ride but forgot to turn the camera on. Fourth ride I got some video but it's not good quality... I'll post it up but don't get your hopes up for real professional quality video.

My very first impression when I stood up was "holy sh*t it's short!" lol

Keep in mind that I'm used to riding a SN with -3" off the back. I thought the nose rode too low and I was using a standard length pole with a -3" handlebar/turnplate combo. I'm betting that a guy who rides a normal SJ would think it rode normal. Definitely not nose high!! It felt more normal to me in the next couple rides but I'm guessing that was because there was additional water in the hull because of the plugged scupper. It will rocket out of the water though and turns on a dime and is very controllable. Making a sharp turn to the right followed my an immediate sharp turn to the left is almost effortless.
