Going to try that with my spare hull, how did you separate the top deck? Just cut it at the bond line
Yep just took a sawzall and ran it on top of the bond line. Then took a speed square and measured 2in all the way around then went at it again with the sawzall. I'm sure there's a better more precise way but I was drinking and poop happens.
I keep seeing you add more and more glass and I say out loud: "Thats gonna be one heavy bitch" LOL...
I agree the bottom deck is getting a little heavy if I had to guess around fifty pounds but I still have midshaft bearing and motor mounts in. Top deck I'm guessing weighs about twenty pounds at the moment and good is about 2ton. I'm hoping all sanded, body filled, and painted with the pole to be under 90 but will see. A lot of the excess bulk is getting sanded off which is a miserable process.
Subbing because of my soft spot for the 650sx. Awesome build!
Thanks I like how other people are loving this build makes me feel like in doing something cool.
I'm debating about throwing the 701 in it part of me wants to just throw a 750 in it to keep it true kawi because a kawi build can be awesome lol.
I think the bottom deck is almost complete just have to do tubbies then I'm done as far as fiberglass work and will move on to pole bracket. My xscream pole I wanted sold so I'm now up in the air on what pole and bracket to run. Any suggestions?
