I think racing has dropped, but freeride has grown.....although people aren't buying superjets and sxrs as much as they used to...nobody is throwing out the old ones anymore! I think aftermarket hulls and re-doing old rn hulls with killer motors is growingl. I believe there are a lot more stand up riders than there were 6 years ago. The Freerides and this site are contributing to that! 6 years ago, you couldn't find a freeride, let alone ones with 300-400 skis!
People are buying old sj's that have sat in garages and putting big $ into them... I think the number of standups is growing....
I'll bet most people's crew of riders has grown!

Disagree! Nobody is throwing away old Superjets or SXRs like they did 550s. Nobody even throws out a SN!
They are being rebuild and modded out! Plus people are buying aftermarket hulls, and yes SJs and SXRs are still being sold. We are growing slowly....(standup riders!)

I am pretty sure you all just missed THE POINT. Tim is saying that the mentality of the sport has not grown, still a bunch of 2 year olds that are now in the computer age and have become keyboard cowboys. In that light, Tim is RIGHT.
I have made some very bad choices in words on the X and in this thread. People don't stop to think that once u put a word out there-u can't take it back. I am one of the most guilty!!!
If you are a newbie reading this thread, here is what you read;
Tim is trying to be innovative and help the Hp cause
Tim is looking for input (for the riders by the riders?)
Tim gets questioned as to why
Tim gets questioned as to past
Tim gets bashed (in a back door kind of way)
Tims gets a few posts of good feedback
Tim weighs the good vs. the bad
Tim says F it and goes home
AWESOME!!! Does this explain Tim's point now? We have again kicked another builder/designer right sqaure in the nads. The X is too volatile of an environment for adult conversations.
Again-I am as or more guilty than the next!!!
Will we ever learn? Remember-once u throw a word out there-u cannot erase it completly!!!

Freeride is growing,and thats all most of us care about,our crew has doubled in size in the last few yrs. Racing was big when the factorys backed riders,that will never happen again,but ocean freerides are funded by the riders them selves,its not about the $ anymore its about the enjoyment,less sponsors means more used skis get built and moded for freeride.We are growing...no ?

At first, I was glad to see this possibly happening, then I saw a lot of boasting about stuff that happened 15+ years ago, pretty much all of it related to rpms/speed and mentioning running 81mm nozzles, then a comment about being world freestyle champion that is unsubstantiated, plus I got into the sport back then big time and don't remember ever seeing Tim's name as a top runner.
There have been so many people in jetskiing that are either scum or liars or exaggerators or just shady, that I'm very jaded and when I see stuff like this posted, I don't believe it unless there is solid proof.
I'd say coming on x-h2o was a mistake, we're not your demographic. Pwctoday is where most of the racers are, they are your market unless you can get a few chambers built and hit some test/tune sessions with people that are respected for their opinions.
I'm out.

The purpose of him asking questions is to get answers. how is it rude to confirm he is who he says he is? I don't see anyone from xscream having issues. if its legit there is no problem. and there was no problem once it was established he was the real deal.
maybe if it wasn't the worst time economically we would all be a little more enthusiastic about a proven pipe?
I am all for more options- but insulting me isn't gaining my loyalty. I know I will be fine without a tnt chamber. and he will be fine without my money.
If you want to sell something- you have to give value. If I see value, experience value and know that the service afterwards is there then I am gonna buy.

I blame a lot of that on guys that know better not speaking up in threads.
If some of the info in some of the peoples heads in this forum is no longer shared....then the ignorant (not an insult) may make poor decisions, waste time and money, lose riding time, become frustrated, not talk other people in to getting in to it, and then the market does what?
Chuck helps people and does just fine. I help people and have never been bashed except by those defending a specific companies product out of silly emotion over inanimate objects.
Dozens of other owners/riders answer questions here everyday.
Maybe it is because they DO know best...usually.
Anyone now knowing what they are talking about on a certain subject SHOULD be called out IMO....most will see who is right and who is wrong or why or why not to do this or that mod.
Correct info will always float to the top over lies and agendas.
