It would probably work better if you tuned the pump, then. How many mm are you from the vanes? And what other props have you tried?

Its frustrating having a ski that doesn't fit well with thw parts ya got, been there, built a superfreak before. I hear ya buddy, so tough when you have to switch gears halfway thru your vision of the build.

I haven't messed with the pump yet, I was just curious if anyone has noticed that with these pipes.
The part of the blade right off of the hub is like 1mm or less from the vanes.

Thats not enough, IMO. I have more like 2-3 and have run 4 or so. Also if youre rocking a 144 i have a 12/18 cutback solas prop that was titties in the two skis i had it in. I am onto 148 pump. I could send it to you if you would:
A) actually try it, and post
B) not immediately post it for a higher price
C)pay me if it works, if damaged, or just return it before claybanks

That is a ridiculously nice offer. Was the 12/18 in 701s? Im not too familiar with pitches but I know some run 12/18 in 800cc stokers.

Yup, i only rock the stock 61x/61x. I havent graduated to the big leagues yet, not really a need either.
Different brand props are different numbers. You cannot take a prop out of the box and have it make a pitch gauge on really any brand. So these numbers are all kinda random.

Agreed. Unless you ride strictly flatwater it's not real necessary.
I would gladly take you up on that offer man, I'm very interested to try. I still will mess with my hooker some more but will swap and try that.

Really hoping this prop change will open things up for me a bit and actually be able to have some type of bottom end thrust.

It does suck when your parts just aren't the necessary fit for what you're looking to do.

Right now.....I'm sorry I sold my B pipe, but if this doesn't work out for me my pipe will be for sale if anyone's looking for a V3 system.

Been spending a bunch of time tuning and it's starting to pay off. I still think I could mess with the pipe jets more too. I went back to a 110 jet and the low end started to get a good bit stronger. I thought it ran better with a 90 but I was wrong. Then, I spaced my prop about 4mm or so.. And wow did that make a difference! It gets on the pipe a good bit quicker and is just about how I like it. Pulls right from the bottom.
My buddy hopped on it and did a 5 180 combo on this little 701.. The bottom end is there.
Also plan on testing a different waterbox next week.

I have gone down to an 80 jet and all the way up to a 140. I wanted to see how the pipe would work both ways. I haven't stuck a temp strip on it yet so I can't tell you the temps.
