TPE-964 Engine?

Thanks. Would a fair comparison be the DASA 10mill 1100? Thrust list it at $5500. Add say $400 for new cases to your price of $4400 would make it $4800, so roughly $700 less than a Thrust 10mil DASA. Glad you were happy enough to go with a second one, must be impressive, since the price difference really isn't much.

Had the price point been tipped in favor of either of the two other manufacturers mentioned in this thread, you would still find TPE motors in my RN and Freak.

I've got a better chance at running over a Sasquatch while riding a Unicorn, than any engine on the X does of living up to its hype.
LMAO, unfortunately that may be true, and it would be your fault according to some of the responses from builders. Hey I'm happy for the satisfied customers and sorry for the guys that aren't. Y'all have fun

I'm moved by DASA power!
I have no witty retort about any of this so... All I can say is this thread has made me laugh, smile in disbelief, weep for the future, and in general be kind of like.... Hmmmm. Here is a pic of an early TPE prototype

Keith couldn't hold onto it either.

you are the reason
And this people is why you should be careful of what you read and BELIEVE on the internets. Getting your info from a reliable, knowledgeable source should be the first step when making a purchasing choice solely on what you read here.

Sorry Jeff, but you aren't even comparing apples to apples here. I'm pretty sure this is like comparing a doctor and a skyscraper.
Be very careful what you believe is right. The guy that sold me the engine will remain anonamous but i was straight lied to. Comparing a running engine to one that failed quickly. The truth is all i'm spilling out here. Oh believe me when i purchased a tpe i believed all sorts of people but the truth was a whole different story for me. let me leave a way out. The engine i got never, never ran right so comparing my xs1000 with a perfectly balanced adr crank to a junky breaking down tpe isnt fair. Disregard all my previous lies. Lmao

both 964's I have rode made more power than the 10mils I have rode

You do realize that there's no possible way to equate these two completely different engines, with completely different setups, and entirely different tuners, with a butt-dyno right?

As I'm sure you already know I tend to stay away from this kind of stuff. In my years on here I have done my best to be respectful of others and avoid drama. Jeff, I even defended you in your hull thread at one point when everyone else was hating on you. As a business man, I would work very quickly to resolve an issue before it escalates to this. I would also give others the same respect and avoid giving false info or playing into the bashing of another man's product.

Truth be told, your TPE engine did not work out for you. I'm sorry to hear that, but there are many other satisfied customers that can speak highly of it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you get a refund for the motor after it went bad? If that is the case, I would say they stood behind their product. I didn't once hear you mention that. If your going to spread the bad, be sure and tell the whole story. Good luck to you in your endeavors.

wow. This is interesting. But Builder Bashing needs to stop now... If someone has a problem with someone. There is a location for this.

Oh just mention the crook trendsetters and the thread will be locked.
Eric is smooth as silk with his customer service. Nobody really wants to hear the whole story. I'm keeping alot back. Ya, got engine fixxed and sent back was planning on running it but got told some lies so i decided i was through. I sold it back to them and gave them that option rather than me sell it outright. It looks better and keeps the market there(business sense) bottom line is erik is a good guy trying to make some sweat engines. I was just part of a SERIES of unfortunate events. Brian, why the beef here. We're good. Im good with erik too. He tried his damndest to get me straightened out. His engine didnt fit my application. Maybe youll see me running a tpe in the future.
