You're dealing with a site full of jetski porn addicts and you have just walked out on stage wearing a full robe and veil. Take it off :naughty: You're giving people blue ball

HAHAHAAH :haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha: I do spend some of my spare time just drooling at pics of parts that I cannot yet affoard.

Honestly I am starting to save my pennies now so I can affoard this thing.

Trinity, how come you dont want to run the down tubes on the hood. I know it adds a little bit of weight but wouldnt it keep water from going all over your flame arrestors when you do subs or anything else that gets water into the hood? Im not trying to bash on your hood cause its the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, but im just curious.....

I've never had any real water problems, tubes are a option. Carbon or plastic/rubber hose.

If unreal light, how come shipping whgt is 45#, you shipping in wood crate???
Just curious?

45 lbs. is the dem weight. The SXR hoods are much larger than our SJ hoods. Long & wide. Fedex, UPS and all other shipping companies go with the greater amount first. We don't go crazy with a over size box either. There's a couple inches on each side and that's it. We are sending these hoods over seas as well so the small we can keep it the better for all of us.

Yeah, and dont they run a tiny 140mm pump too????? This can kill some low end.

That's not true. Maybe the design of the pump & pump cavity but not because it's a 140mm. 140mm work great in SJ's. as well in the full mod SXR. Skat-trak makes a 142 but you need some HP to turn it.

$995???? Thats sooo cheap! I'll take 2!!
If you add material, labor, and dealer cut it is cheap. There are hoods in the market close to or more money. Most of them are built cheap.Chop mat about 2 bucks yrd,s-glass around 7+ dollars yrd, then poly maybe vinylester resin. Most of the hoods I've seen are made of those materials some better, still cheaper material.Trinity hood is made of carbon and kevlar no fiberglass at all.Carbon 40-60 dollars a yrd Kevlar 30-40 bucks a yards. Resin 70$ a gallon. The hood parts are vac bagged. So add some cost to bagging material. Not so cheap.

Yup!! That is a good deal for what you are getting. A wet laid non bagged hood from other companies are in the 800-900 range

Thank you.And thats because I have big connections in composites and move bulk material from mills direct-carbon/kevlar/sglass/epoxy etc. Also want to move volume in ski parts, while providing the best products and fair price.Trinity started underground on first ski project in 05 at the highest level.Expect even better this time.We have two noses race/fride.Three ride plates 2race/1fride. Two hoods race/fride.And within a month my molds for a legal kawi 800.When thats done I'm going to start all over and do yamaha sj.Starting with a hood freeride.Trinity is here with a dynamic group of the best partners/workers in aerospace.I think we can provide the best. Also if anybodys in the market for an all carbon, six place,280mph airplane $350,000 hit me up.

hurry up with the SJ stuff. sounds like you are really in a position to make some great stuff for reasonable prices. This sport has been overpriced for to long.

We just spent the whole year designing a Reno Racer for my Senior Aircraft Design Class and now we're trying to find someone to build it for us. :sneaky::biggrin: Check it out:biggthumpup:

:banghead: Great, I find this out after I build a X-jet  JK Glad to see you are doing some SJ parts as well. Any ball park estimates on the weight of a complete hull or the price range in which they will be offered? SXR or SJ?

sxr weight 40-45 pds all day long, rock solid.Custom weights and length available for those who want more beef. price will be a little higher than the american builders due to the materials and bagging.

40-50 pounds lighter than stock or 40-50 pounds total?was that a dumb ?
I would feel safe with a boat at 45-50lbs. Upper/lower/bulkhead/hood/plumbing and glue. That would be one strong flatwater ski. 50-60lbs would be safe for surf that any oem boat would handle or better.Race hull 25-30lbs.
