Is a stock sxr hood really 30 pounds????????????????

I think the oem hood is 26 lbs.No fire ex.

I think it will have wayyy more low end than a Superjet with the same mods. If you port the superjet and put MSD on it it will bring it up to the SXR on hit.
Remember, you have an extra 100ccs.

remember the porting is setup different in a kawi than a superjet. kawi ports are geared more for topend. (atleast the 750s, havent seen the 800 ports but i would expect them to have a similar design)

think a xft handle pole will cut some pounds also over a -2 umi?

I would go for a stock RD nose pole, ive moced one up and it looked sweet..... you can find them cheap, and they are realy light. About 8lbs.

There is a lighter race hood.The air intake and inner liner are a little different.Kevin or I can post pics soon.

Yeah, and dont they run a tiny 140mm pump too????? This can kill some low end.

I like seeing what other guys come up with. I have seen you hoods and they look really nice........I would like to see what you can do with and entire hull. My interest is peaked. Do you have a site?
