I've had two different hulls from Trinity, the first being the EVO XF and my current one a -4" Matrix Pro. I loved the first and I love the second. Everything that went wrong with the EVO was my fault. The last rideplate Bobby ever made ripped off (inserts were fine...I just have a carbon rideplate at the bottom of the lake ) after the first day because I was too in a hurry to ride to allow the locktite and sealant to dry. The other issue I had was when I installed the boweyes on the back rails, it opened up the cavity under the tray that has no foam and filled with I think 8-10 gallons of water. I called Bobby and he happily sent me materials to fix it as well as walked me through how to prepare them and apply them. The Matrix Pro.. no major issues so far after 2 years of beating the out of it.
Both hulls were late, the first wasn't that late, I think maybe a week? The second was extremely late and it was around the same time the other incident that was discussed it this thread. Part of the reason on my hull, if I remember correctly, was weather. Bobby called and told me there was going to be a delay because it was either too cold or too humid (I don't remember) for him to comfortably layup part of the hull. One of the other reasons, which was on my end, was that my brother ordered a Matrix at the same time to be completed at the same time as mine. So a delay in one was a delay in the other. During the builds he sent us both pictures as he made progress as well as both of them done...as a tease.
I still keep in contact from time to time with Bobby to BS and because he calls occasionally to check up on seeing to see if I am still happy with the hull or if there are any problems. That is what I consider amazing customer service. Another awesome thing Bobby did was saved us both hundreds of dollars in shipping. He knew that Parr was heading to WI and arranged for him to bring both of the hulls up with him so my brother and I could just drive from MN and pick them up.
I've really only had experiences with two other hull manufactures; BOB and EME. From the two examples I've seen from BOBs when it comes to quality and business ethics I would never buy from them. A buddy had terrible experiences with EME (lakeboy) and I'll never buy from them.
I am a returning customer to Trinity and if I ever want to change things up from the Matrix, I'll look there again first.
