what hull can you get for 3500?

I thought it was an ok deal?? man guess not...

it wasn't just the hull. I got foot holds, turf, scupper and pump set up for trim line and clearenced for trim.

I can still cancel the order...

Call up WaterdawgKustomz.

The only positive thing about your deal with Wammer is that it's brand-new.
But paying 3.5k for an OEM hull, no matter what's done to it or how new it is - that's just plain nutz.

I think I would put up with Jeff before buying an OEM hull for 3.5 k. :cool2:

Besides, Jeff seems to do okay with REV hulls.

To do foot holds, scupper, trim tube & clearance and turf for $1000 sounds very fair and $2500 for brand new hull isn't that bad either. So, how is this a bad deal for someone who does not want to do the work themselves?

Wammer is a good guy who's been in business for a long time

Whatever you do don't listen to these guys about waterdawg. Look at the threads about them. Do you want to wait till 09 to get your hull than have stuff missing.

That seems to be SOP with him.

To be clear: I would not buy a hull from Jeff, unless he had it ready and I'd pick it up personally. But I sure as hell would not pay someone thousands of dollars for a stock hull, either.

yeah, you should really think about doing the work to your '99... do it over the winter... it's really not that hard to do footholds, turf, reinforcing (if you choose), whatever else you want. and there are tons of guys on here that will help guide you through the work.

well I talked to jeff and his stuff sounds really nice for the price.. But everyone on here says to stay clear, so I dunno what to do??? I thought the 07 was a good deal, cause I know how sj rides, but this way I get a brand new boat, with everything I want on it and I wasn't ready to spend 5k on an after market hull. Now I didn't know revs were so cheap.. I never ridden one or read anything about them.. so I guess tonight I have to figure this all out, in order to cancel my wammer order or not.. I'm leary too because everyone says to stay away from this jeff guy?? he says he has 2 revs all done. Or he can custom make me one take a 2 weeks or so. Then again I dunno much about them.... man you guys killed me now I'm lost again... :(

If you want to go the WDK, make sure you cover all your basis before you send him ANY money. I'd want to see pictures with dates attached to them of the hull he is sending you. In fact, I would have him send you the entire purchase with only giving him a minimal deposit of $100 bucks or so. I'm sure he'll understand.

No he will not!
Do you guys think I should reinforce it at all? I ride all flat water.

I would say - based on my experience with the 3 07 SJ's we had at Universal this summer - that if you don't reinforce it heavily near the bond line, especially on the left side, you will have a POS hull in short order. 2 of the 3 skis we had cracked on both sides in identical locations, both within 2 weeks of putting them in the water. And neither of them had any abuse to damage the hulls. The left side cracks most of the way from the gas tank towards the rear along the bond line on the hull side, and the right side cracks behind the battery, and you may as well pick out your favorite glue for the hood seal cuz you'll need to stick that back down also.

I guess I don't make it sound so nice, but if you reinforce it first I think you'll be fine.
