just read this on another thread, Seams WDK is not the only slow poke in the bus.

" I just assembled my hull with a blowsion jk hood, it fit perfect, The xft hull is amazing, huge in pump cavity scuppers, reinforced everywhere a superjet should be and very light (mines a 66lb, but really weighs 72). every thing is like the superjet as far as bolting things up so any hood will fit also stock pole and bracket will fit. after waiting a long time to get (almost 7 months) I would say it is worth it"

Does Jeff lie about when parts were shipping just to get a little more time for the part, or is he that clueless on what the shipping status is.

By this time, you would think he would have leaned to say 'you will get it in a month', even if he knows it will only be 2 weeks.

That's for sure.

But I don't ever read about other suppliers lying repeatedly about when it's done and shipped. :dunno:

He had a guy in his shop that took care of packing and shipping. However, my pole was not the only order that he had not shipped properly over the last few weeks (ie. did not have a tracking record of what was shipped where ect.) Hopefully this will all get squared away soon and when he has someone ship a item out he will be able to say that with more confidence. I have heard stories about this employee, but we will just leave it at that.

Telling lies when the truth would be better. Every time you talk to the guy its either someone forgot to ship it, the guy at the machine shop was too busy, a welder screwed up, etc etc. My personal favorite will always be when he printed a shipping label just so he could give me a tracking number so I would leave him alone (never having intentions of shipping the item) I guess it all comes down to this, if you can stand being continually lied to, then you can do business with Jeff. :bs2::bs2::bs2:

More time for him to make stuff for me then LOL

awesome. im glad i could help.
according to my calculations (factoring in i wont be ordering anything now):

1. your pole will be ready in 6 months to never
2. your hull will be ready and delivered exactly how you didnt order it in 9months to 1.5+ years
3. your steering will be ready 1 month

*please add 3-6 months for shipping*

yes others are slow, but the other orders are shipped where and how they were supposed to be shipped to and are as they ordered and not needing modifications to fit the owners liking because the builder decided to add something.

he turns out good parts when he does turn them out but his business model is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine :banghead:

What do you think it would cost to make a pole in materials? Bob may know? $100 - $150? Could they be manufactured cost effectively to sell them for $300 - $350?

The WDK pole is about 500 in materials alone. Not to mention the $$ it costs him to have them profesionally welded. It uses billit aluminum, extruded aluminum and prepreg comosite for the pole skin. The new design is $995......up from the 800 price tag on the 1st gen. poles. This is due to the extra machine time in rounding off the edges, removing more material and sanding/polishing the final product.
