A/C and WDK are the only 2 poles I know of that didnt bail and take the easy CHEAP rout of cast. Cast has several issues, its brittal and its porous witch means salt water can get under the paint and eat the cast without you knowing it (as if there is something you could do about it).
The A/C is ugly but effective IMO
I am hoping the Rev is as effective as it looks like it will be and I think it looks better than the A/C.
No question the X-Metal is a nice looking pole, I just dont like the engineering and materials used and do not want to strugle to use a spring and tight pole both.

I never worried about the cost on the one we built, to honest with you I don't even know how much we have in it. I built that one for Brian because he has managed to break every other pole we put on his boat. I will probably be building another one for Yamahammer when he breaks his stock one again, when I do I'll try to figure what I have in one. There is no doubt that Jeff's pole is one stout/sharp piece of work.................................now if you could only get one...........................are they made out of billet or unubtanium?

:haha: Sorry, had to throw that in, hope it works out for ya RR, good luck

The REV pole would look better, but the Stock pole is going to look close to the x-metal or the Rev as far as size and shape though. The AC looks horrible on a Wammer or a WDK hood as well.

I think my AC pole looks good with the WDK hood.

OOPS, you werent offended were ya? HA HA, I like a lower sitting smoother look myself, it looks even worse on my Wammer hood. But function over form until I can afford another $800 pole.

I like the AC pole as well. Relativly cost effective and much stronger than a OEM pole. I keep leaning toward the WDK pole but I think it would be allot nicer if he ran a dual breathing system in it. That would set it off IMO. Plus billit brackets have a tendency to break or bend poles b/c they have little to no flex. Billit pole solves that problem

24/7 pole with WDK hood

xmetal with same hood

those ac poles are FUGLY.......I hate all those angles (no offense to AC users :) )

I am not sure I am sold on needing a breather in my pole (shoot me) I notice no difference in the way my boat runs and when I sink it in a stab the tube in pole takes on water like a drain. I talked to 2Ride and he says he runs no tube up pole and the Rev takes on NO water and breaths just fine.

I see it as just repositioning the breathers. Less cut outs in the hood will lower overall water injestion. Different strokes for different folks :brap:

dude, you dont know what the hell you are talking about

have you EVER even talked to jeff?

No,why would I? Waste of time. His stuff looks cool, but his business ethics aren't. Reason enough not to deal with him, especially when it happens alllll the time.

Think of it like dual exhaust, it's not really going to improve overall performance, but for some tricks it makes a huge difference.
