Fiber glassing the bulkhead exhaust hole closed. Keeping my daughter entertained (guess the movie). Great day.

Phase 2 of moving my kitchen around complete. Converted the old heat coils in the walls to slant fin baseboard and insulated/Sheetrocked the hole where the coil was. Roasting myself checking it out. I’m used to 67-68 degrees in the house.

We finally picked up a set of fake logs to finish off our fireplace. We don’t even have gas plumbed into our neighborhood so I decided to try out one of our Philips Hue Play lamps in there for effect.

I downloaded an app that simulates the flicker of flame so it actually looks pretty good.

This seems to be a re-occurring theme in the OCD Garage lately but this weekend I tackled yet another project that has been on my list for several years.

My Triton trailer was built from a really long couch trailer so the length and balance are way off. The thing is already way too long and I have to hang the skis off the back even further to balance it out so it’s never been ideal.

Rather than cut off the axle mounts and weld them back on further forward, I wanted to replicate the adjustable mount like what the older Triton Elite trailers came with. Since they won’t sell me the parts, I was forced to fabricate my own.

The fender mounts will transfer onto the slider and move with the axle, plus I get to raise them up and inch or so to clear the oversized radial car tires I run now.

I got the new mounts fabbed up over the past couple days and am ready to grind off all the old mounts tomorrow and fit it up.

This is how the wheels sit relative to the ski for optimum balance.

And here is the mockup with the ski where it will sit after tomorrow. It took some time to play around with balance and set my starting place but this should be very close.

This also stages me to finally be able to build a proper fuel jug and cart rack on the tongue and then dial in the perfect balance.

It ends up being a move forward of only 7” so I sure hope all this is work the effort.

Macon Georgia! Are you driving on l75 thru Knoxville?

yes! And I won't soon forget it! I now have PTSD from trucking and mostly because of that trip! LMAO! Friggin brutal roads....Kentucky and Georgia were fine but man Tennessee pot holes have scarred me for life!

I saw some dudes riding motorcycles on that highway that clearly won't be alive next year!

Oh and don't get me wrong! Obviously I would take Tennesee over Ohio! Friggin beautiful down there! It was night time and some of the potholes caught me off guard because 99% of the time you are cruising along on great road but then BAM BAM!! And for no reason I can see! One section I will never ever forget! LOL.

Trucking tends to make one really see and complain about the little bad stuff. I tend to say crap as if I am talking to other truckers and may sound negative.

I'll tell you what too....super friendly folks! Ga, Tn and Ky too....just so dang nice!

Atlanta just blows my mind on traffic volume! I was genuinely terrified for the guys I saw ripping motorcycles! I don't ride in stuff like that!

Well I got my trailer project about 90% finished up.

I got my axles and fenders finished, now I just need all new hardware to bolt everything back together since none of the original hardware is worth re-using.

Next step will be to build the triple jug rack and cart mount before I finalize the position of the axle. I mocked it up today and the tongue weight is around 40lbs with the cart and 10 gallons of fuel.
