Super stoked to start dry aging for the first time! Steaks and smoking meats have become my hobby outside of skis.
Was very impressed with Costco. Butcher gave me some tips, told me which end of the loin is the best for aging etc. Hella stoked! Now just gotta wait 30 days.

Going to look at this property on Lake Jordan today , no idea what will happen here but this could be my view soon.
We have been looking at moving back into that area but the discussion revolved around renovating my existing house which is not on the lake Martin just relativly close to it, This could be a game changer.

It looks like we are going to tinder an offer on it, it is craftsman style house, two stories with a basement two bath two bedrooms with the potential for three baths and three bedrooms, it's post and beam construction with metal covered polystyrene panels with 6 inches of foam between them, the inside is all wood walls are cherry, cabinets are sweet gum , spiral staircase made from Black walnut, custom made shutters breathtaking views and an electric lift that goes from the top of the hill down to the pier or you can stop it at any floor.
The basement has a gameroom with a pool table and a wood heater, the house has a great room floor plan, the kitchen area has an island with a bar and chairs lots of cabinets and a huge pantry, lots of handmade furniture goes with the house, a metal carport right next to the house another metal boat port and another metal RV port , I could turn into a shop at the top of the hill.
The best part is it is way off the road down a private drive no boat ramp but the lift would easily transport the standups down the hill to the pier which also has a metal covered port on it, all over it is very impressive
It needs some decking replaced and the pier needs to be pressure washed but basically it's move in ready.

Her financial adviser drug their feet a little too long and that place now has a sale pending but we are now looking at a place on Lake Martin , the place isn't as big and it's not waterfront but it has beach and launch ramp access and it's on a nicer lake .
Its an HOA so there won't be any working on jetskis in the yard but it's only 10-15 minutes from my shop and gives me a private ramp to water test from.
The last place on Martin we missed out on had a similar community boat ramp situation and the yard wasn't very big, anything around lake Martin is going to be smaller lot size unless you are willing to pay for the acreage.
We need to have a big enough yard to be able fence in for the dogs and enough room to move our new carport.
I may go take a preliminary looksee today.
