I feel ya Mike. We were out for 6 hours then the wife broke down. $600 so far.

This plane landed in front us, tied up to a buoy and a ski boat picked him up and took him into the yacht club.

This ship was something, when it goes by its draft sucks all the water way from shore and your ski gets
Momentarily beached. What I didn’t know was if your in the water floating near shore you get pushed the opposite direction the boats going, A lot, I was running in the water holding the ski!

Body Beach Coalition - Jetski'ers that clean up after others to keep their spot open for all!

Volunteers and members of the jet ski community gathered at Body Beach Tuesday evening to clean up the area following a busy Labor Day weekend on Lake Havasu. The cleanup was put on by the Body Beach Coalition, a new organization being put together by resident Ron Benfield, among others. HavaDump provided a dumpster for the trash, and Stoney's food truck provided drinks and food for those who helped clean the area. A similar event was hosted in May following Memorial Day. Haulin' Harry was there too!

Giving it a go with building a timber frame BBQ pavilion. Building it out of old growth (200 year old) pine. Just waiting for the sawmill to cut it. Should have went with 12” forms but that’s what was in stock at my lumber yard. But 8” forms buried 3’ should be solid enough. Ceiling will be tongue and groove pine with the roof metal. Concrete should get poured next week. IMG_3673.jpegIMG_3672.jpegIMG_3414.jpeg

If you don't already know, green wood will split, crack, warp like mad when drying if it's built before dry, and based on your wording it doesn't sound like you're going to dry it first (1 year per inch of thickness to air dry, or few months in a kiln drier). If you know, and are ok with it all, super, just trying to inform.

That was my first question. It’s old growth heart pine so the moisture content is already super low.
