From Saturday. Spartan beast. 13.75 miles and 33 obstacles. Kicked my arse. Took me 2hr 38min. Then did a 10k and 5k on Sunday. Its now Tuesday and I still feel like I got hit by a truck.

Whatever you’re running from bro….just turn around and face it. It’s way easier

I ran home from the bar two years ago for poops and giggles to prove I still got it to a few knuckleheads. 2.1 miles home. 21 minutes. Piss drunk after a concert in Manhattan, a train ride home, then a retirement party for two hours before the run.

I was convinced I was faster than the Ubers arrival time plus driving time to drop me off.

One of the things I like about my job is I get to correct things I don't like , like these Seadoo logos, they are in the wrong spot, they go below the rub rail like the kit console picture on most skis and look much better there . I ordered a cheap graphics set off of Ebay for like $25.00 that has the large logos in it , I am going with the purple graphics.

I recovered the seats, and heat gunned the handlebar cover , I also changed the hood to a different color green that matched the graphics better , I have to take a look at the lake and see if I have a better hood there if so I will swap it out , this one is much better than the puke green color though , not sure how well you can tell the color differences in the photo in person it's quite noticeable .

My work schedule has been pretty hectic the past couple months so this morning I took the time to do a tribute breakfast to my late Grandfather Bruce Coulter. From the age of 5 to 17, we spent the first two weeks of every hunting season on horseback hunting trips and my grandfather would do all the cooking over an open fire. His campfire breakfasts were always the best. To this day I still don't know where he kept pulling all the eggs from.

Here’s thinking of you Granddad. You are missed every day and thought of often. Your legacy lives on in all the people you touched in your amazing lifetime.

Graphics came in Yesterday , to me this looks much better, a lot less busy .

I am picking up another hood tomorrow and I am going to try something new , Duplicolor has a green to purple colorshifting paint for like $18.00 a can, it goes over a black base coat for the greatest effect but it can go over any dark color base so I am going to use black primer, if I like it then it stays on the ski if not it goes on one down the road.

I thought this would be the perfect ski to try it out on, the hood I have on it is ok but it has some pretty deep scratches - paint missing in a few places as does the one that came off of it.

I’m excited to see this build come together
You and me both man!
WDK Weapon
5 inches longer than my rip
Longer tray
Wider in the front
Redesigned chines
Redesigned pump intake
Uses a different midshaft so motor placement and pump placement may be different?
And some other things.
Everything I've heard from others is it recovers much better than the rip, easier to combo and is much more buoyant. Plus the length will definitely help with boat chasing!

Oh, and it'll be 30 lbs lighter than my rip
I love the way my rip rides, so I am very stoked for this!

Setup will be pump gas php898, Novi 48s, zeel 760 ign, pfp ran wet, push 155 pump

Ski came in , no start , not cranking over, I put in a fresh battery , nothing , checked the voltage at the main fuse 3.4 V , not good , the customer said he could push or pull on the positive cable and get it to crank , tried all that nothing happening , so I pulled the top off the ski to access the starter solenoid and wiring , everything looked good , nothing loose or damaged , I did my redneck test which is bypass the ground wire with a jumper cable, ski cranked and ran . If bypassing the ground doesn't work then bypass the positive cable the same way.

Next I cut the cable end off and held the bare wire to the neg post, nothing , that's when I heard it, kind of pop - crackle and I knew exactly what it was , the ground cable was loose at the starter , the issue here is you can't get to the starter on these without pulling the exhaust. , Usually you can pull the rear half which is fairly easy , did that bolt felt tight cable was flopping around.

So I pulled the rest of the exhaust out of the ski where I could get to the bolt because it wasn't coming out easily and I was afraid it would break off , I got it out a few turns and with some penetrating oil, a few cuss words and a lot of working the bolt back and forth it finally came out , some idiot had put a damaged bolt in there and then just cranked it down, yes it felt tight but it didn't bottom against the cable and the starter , so I broke out the tap , tapped the threads and put a new bolt and neg cable on it, now I just have to put everything back together.

So yeah if it looks like it exploded , yeah that's pretty much what happened .

1100 venture. That’s actually a tough repair. Tight quarters to work in.

Yep something simple like a starter replacement or starter solenoid replacement quickly turns into a nightmare on one of these skis.

The fun part hasn't happened yet, just wait till the customer gets his bill for what he thinks is just tightening down a loose bolt .

It's one of the reasons I take pics to document what was actually done on something like this.

l get to work on some awesome cars at times. New 24 Z06 that needed its graphics installed. Needless to say, but these jobs have to be perfect. You corvette owners are a picky azz bunch! Not excited about the color, but it not mine either. Would have loved to take it out for a ride. lt now goes for tint, PPF, and ceramic coating
