I keep a 5 gallon bucket of diesel. Also my parts washer is diesel. When I get a stuck engine or cylinder. I drop the entire thing into the diesel. After 4 or 5 days. It's unstuck if it was from corrosion. Has never failed me yet. The diesel in my parts washer is probably 15 yrs old

Years ago l got a free 550, but it was froze too. Buddy of mine said he always used a half and half mix of kerosene and diesel. So l tried it. Never got that engine unlocked, but l didn’t know how bad it was to start. Could have been froze for years

ATF and acetone makes for a killer rust penetrant.

First ever cruise for me. This ship is ridiculous. Been on it 2 days and still haven't seen it all. View attachment 445458View attachment 445459

The view is starting to look a lot better after quite a rough patch , I was hauling the KLF220 sales ATV I have been working on and I get a phone call wanting to know if it was for sale ( phone number is on the work shell of my truck ) , so know it's now sold as soon as I get it finished which should be Saturday or Sunday.

I pulled out a 98 GTI and did an engine swap on it , later this week it gets water tested , new seat upholstery , new footwell mats and then it gets stuffed inside the shop .

I start on a Waveventure 1100 and Waverunner XL 760 engine swaps next week, I have a bunch of skis here that I will be doing the same thing on and storing inside the shop till the season hits .

I also have two Yamaha 1200 SUV's , a Seadoo LRV , a Yamaha VX1100 , a couple of Yamaha FX 140's and a Kawasaki Teryx 750 , I will repair and sell this year.

Whats left gets parted out and put on my Ebay store later this month , I am going to thin this stuff out this year and next year , the phone calls are coming in for new customers wanting work done , I am picking up a Seadoo Explorer this morning in Montgomery to work on , I deliver a KLF 220 I am doing carb work on to Wetumpka this Saturday.

Most of my business is now pick up and drop off at the Lake Martin location or direct to customers residences and they are told up front to expect a two to three week turnaround.

For the first time since I started this business I am now picking and choosing what I want to work on , the jet ski, motorcycle and ATV sales will offset any lost service revenues and this place might start making some real money.

I am this many years old , I used to climb up in these boats and jump back out like it was nothing , not anymore ,work smarter not harder.

These guys tried to rebuild their own carbs, so what's the first thing I do , you got it pull the carbs .

The front carb base gasket was missing, the rear one was torn , creased fuel pump diaphragm , bad hose linking the two carbs , inlet needle levers adjusted way too low to open correctly, pump sealing o-ring damaged , carbs would not even hold pressure to pressure test them , both popping off at the correct pressure now , the oil pump cable guide and clip were missing , the oil feed lines were crumbling , missing two clamps on the fuel hose, jet pump wear ring completely gone.

I need to pop a few Viagra into the tubes and see if they will stiffen up a bit , then it's test ride time.

I took a drive down the river Tuesday and picked up a puppy. Sunny(male) was right down the road from the Field Of Dreams! My previous lab(profile photo) got cancer, and I had to put him down last May. Dogs rule!
Man, Always loved that pic of you and your pup on the ski...................... Sorry to hear that..... We have lost 1 Lab, and 2 cats/kittens in the last 9 months.

Dont know how many more visits I will have with my mom. We called in Hospice a few weeks ago.... took Crackhead for a visit... call yall's mom and tell her you love her every chance you get.View attachment 445223
Lost my mom in ‘99 when she was only 54 from cancer. Wish I would have spent more time with her but you take them for granted that they will always be around when you’re young. Spend as much time with them as you possibly can.
