According to some on the forum, it is the only way to know you have a good motor. Haha

Dasa makes good motors, x scream makes good motors, I'm sure e tech motors are decent motors as well. We believe we have a good product too......but apparently you need a piece of paper to get people to believe what they can actually see and feel on the water. Maybe Ant Burgess has no clue what a good motor setup feels like though......I'm not schooled on dynos or a skilled enough rider to debate the intricacies involved. I'll just listen to the feedback I've been given from some of the most respected pros and veterans involved in the sport.

Choice is good most of the time. Overzealous customers on any side of the fence tend to stir the pot too much and sometimes we get cauget up in it too. No need to slang poop.....keep an open mind and get out and ride.

Here is your chance to buy a jetski dyno cheap!
http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=249785
Ronnie Sharp of the former Sharps Marine in Oswego, NY has a Land & Sea Dynomite for sale. It comes complete with the original CD and instruction booklet explaining just about every facet of the dynos use and abilities. My understanding is that it costs about $10,000 with all the accessories and torque arms he has. He really wants to move it and will take $3,500 for it.
He told me that it can do a bunch of stuff. PWC, snowmobiles, Polaris ATV's and provides exhaust temp, water temp, fuel and even more with all testing being printable!!!! Just look at the harness. It does a lot of stuff.
I really can't answer questions as it is beyond my scope, but if anyone is interested, Ronnies number is 315-439-7717 and he will be happy to answer any and all questions. Thanks for looking.

If you use a dyno to tune or test a jetski you are putting it in unrealistic conditions. I will accept a 4 stroke turbo boat. But on a stand up freeride ski what are you trying to prove. The free ride engine spends more time in the air with an aerated pump. If you tie your ski to a trailer to tune it, then you will end up with a rich ski and your mates will walk it. The dyno will give the same result

Having a "good" dyno chart may save some time with pump load adjustments. I think many guys just want to dyno race. I have watched car guys get overly excited when they made 5 more HP at redline rpm.
