From left to right settled on: Port 1 Top of Bun Exhaust Mani, Port 2 Bottom of Bun Exhaust Mani, Port 3 Pipe Water Jacket, Port 4 Exhaust Mani Injection, running a filter here because of the difficulty getting to, Port 5 To Bun Pipe Injection

Bun chamber installed. The Bun coupler is a battle, for me at least. The rubber is as thick as Sch 80 pipe, here's the Bun coupler next to piece of 4" Sch 80 I used for fitting.

And I had to polish the chamber which to be honest wasn't hard at all. It was very clean and unbeaten right out of the box. Same for the water box that I also polished.

Prior to installing the motor I did install reeds, flywheel, starter and bendix, cover and exhaust mani. Reed pics wound up next water box pics, the Bun does use the big snow mobile reeds. Had to make studs and nuts as supplied bolts were merely a suggestion.

I did try 2 different size exhaust hoses as the Bun box terminates with 2 3/8 and the hull is 2 1/2. The 2 1/2 squeezed down fine onto the box so I went with that as opposed to fighting it onto the hull tube. One less battle. And these were just for fitting, I did change them to black.

Your a next level builder, you really are a Mad scientist! Your skill level is way the Fick up there. Reminded me of Auquhalic..

I am trying to send you a PM but dont see a button, can you please pm me instead ? Tnx.
Thanks for the comparison to Aquaholic! Rarified air there! PM sent

running dual water injection points ? why? I am also setting up a BUN 1200 motor that I just bought. but didn't heard about running dual water injections.
How's it going Max ! I'm a newb to Buns and 1200's so I'm going on the advice that I have got from a couple of guys who know a lot more than me running them. When I first got it I was advised to at least drill the manifold and plug it in case I need to add it later. Since getting my beginning carb specs from a buddy of Tony's I was advised to run a 90 jet in the mani and a 70 in the pipe. I did go a little wetter in the pipe, 80, that's an easy change later. We all gotta start somewhere. Worse case, there's always my EXTREMELY short arm allen, the plug I had in there and a minor battle if I don't need it. What carbs are you running?

Seems like I can't DM you ..
Well thanks for answering back !
Currently I have XS52mm carbs for the bun. But might also buy a set of SE50s to try.
I will also drill and tap the manifold before putting the motor in the hull, so I could also try to run it with dual injections like you.
And you, what carbs will you be using?

I'm going with SE 50's, pump gas domes to start with. PM sent.

On the advice of someone who couldn't get his Bun tuned because he found an exhaust leak from steering cable rub AFTER he pulled his Bun, I turfed the front of the Bun pipe and used an eye nut with one hand cable ties to pull the breathers as far forward as possible.

And since I had the chip brushes and contact cement out to turf the pipe, I glued on the hood pole pad. Nothing like intentionally scuffing up beautiful visual carbon. Still better than the pad falling off and the pole crashing into the hood.

Thanks for all the work documenting your build step by step. I'm sure I'm not the only one learning and being inspired by your project. Can't wait to see your first ride!
Thanks g-ski! Be sure to post pics of what you were inspired to build ! Everyone luvs pics !
