A propperly set up 701 will have way more bottom end snap then any Kawasaki 650, 750, or 800 engine.

You will not convince me that a basically stock 701 will have more bottom end than a basically stock 800,yes if the mod the hell out of the 701 it might but thats apples and oranges isn't it?:stups:

I said a propperly set up 701.

YZ's White Power skis has:

LPW porting
ADA Head (93 Octane)
Stock 38 carbs (maybe they are modded he or Gil would know)
I know they have promers installed
Lightened Flywheel
FPP Exhaust Manifold/B Pipe

That isn't a whole heck of a lot of parts/mods

An Kawie conversion we will need the FPP Exhaust manifold and pipe anyways.

I rode YZ's ski on more than one occasion. I also rod Gil's neighbors SXR with a FPP wet pipe on it. The SXR ran good but not near the bottom end snap of YZ's White Power Ski. It really did make a believer out of me.

I wasn't saying stock for stock. I was saying a 701 set up right would rip a lot harder than the same mods on a comparable Kawasaki engine.

Like I said do the same mods on an 800 and I believe the bottom end would be comparable if not more, the 800 has way more stroke than a 701 does.:kabong:

Well if I ever get my ski done....

It will have:

800 SXR Engine
ADA head (Pump Gas Comp)
Total Loss or a light weight aluminum charging wheel
FPP Exhaust Manifold/Pipe/Water box
Stock carbs wirh primers

I can compare afterwards... Hopefully...

I have (1) ported 800 X2 and (1)ported 701. The 701 stomps the 800 down low. 800 stomps 701 up top (by a huge margin). Same limited mods, FP, ADA heads, ect. Drink the koolaid and get it over with.

Hi my name is Dave and I too drank the kool aide....

Well when the 800 was first introduced, it was supposed to have had the ports changed so that it had more low end then th previous 750 engines. I know everyone says to get a small pin 750 cylinder for the low end but i had one once and wasn't that impressed.

I rode a stock 08 SJ 701 as well and it wasn't that impresssive compared to the modded SJ's that I have ridden.

We all mod our X2's out anyways. That is why I am thinking with a different set of carbs/flame arrestors, an exhaust system, lightened flywheel, maybe some light porting, and a lightened flywheel that a 701 will beat a 750 Kawasaki hands down in the low end snap area of teh power band. Kawasakis are all mid range and top end.

As for me, I already have everything on that list I posted earlier for my ski except for the flywheel or total loss. What is almost unobtainium is the Japanese parts I was wanting...

The point really is mute ,I have made my engine choice it was a Rotax 720,thats what I am sticking with,I seriously doubt you could ride my boat and say I made a bad choice.

Do not get me wrong, I dont think you made the wrong choice at all. I'd love to have a seadoo X2! I wish I got to ride it.

You don't see a plate because I have the plate ,a blem production plate just got here Thursday afternoon via U.S.P.S.Now I have to fab it up and send it back, then he will have something to input into the CNC program and be able to pop out some plates.Give me some time guys ,I am good but I am not that damn good!

Guys I am going to have to tell you like it is here, this concept is not something new, antique car guys have been having parts special made for years by getting a buying group together and putting down a deposit for the the parts they want to have made.

It works out well for everyone, the manufacturer is not out on a limb with obsolete parts that he now has to find a market for,he has some money to offset his production costs and the guys get the parts made that they need, win win situation.Like I said earlier if you truly want a plate show your interest by putting down a deposit.I will be sure to put up a pic of the modified plate after it is ready to go back to John.
