It also might be the tide is changing. I could play in this all day long and would chose to ride this over the 12 foot surf that is forecasted for Saturday-Sunday.

If the long range forecast is correct the weather is going to be nice in the low 70's and surf about 8ft with wind from 5-10mph. But his is Oregon and will change as the event gets closer.
