Atmospheric pressure is 14.6 here in Ontario, 35 thousands is a decent amount but it gained more like 13psi and that was with a battery with 12.1V shouldnt really do it with less than 12.2V but im going to test again with 12.6V and i may get a little more on the gauge. Never the less i took it...

i havent seen an sxr that has 175psi stock, i shaved mine 35 thou and it now has 175psi. from what i've seen the stock compression is like 160-168psi.... the manual does say that the compression is up around 175-185 but dont think many to little are. Thats just what ive seen

as much as you dont want to drill holes in your ski i think its best because you can monitor everything by the flow of the pissers. if you route your pipe outlet out the stock outlet beside the pump you wont be able to see if water is flowing or if your pipe is clogged, then it could be to late...

i just did my head took off .035" and got 10psi more

ya pretty happy about it! should be a lot better than 135psi in cyl 1 and 165psi in cyl 2, was thinking on putting it in today but i still have ice burgs floating in front of my place :17:

so final results put the head on with a new gasket and tested it.... both cylinders 175psi now so i was luckily right on the head gasket being messed and found out that .035 off the stock head raises the compression 10psi

so its been a slow go on the head but got it done today! heres some pics, shaved 35 thou off

heavier stresses the crank cuz theres more torsion on the crank when the prop comes in and out of the water. Also question, is the bolt for the flywheel left hand tread? i just dont want to fap a impact on there in reverse if it is thanks
