Cutting a block out of billet aluminum on a Cnc is fairly straight forward. Foundry work and casting is a whole other ball game. What did Dasa even buy exactly. Rights to the customer that does tpe casting?
Something I always try to keep in mind, these guys are artists first and foremost in my opinion. Generally they don’t have the best organization/ business skills to be efficient. Mostly true in all Niche custom markets I’ve dealt with. At least Eric is trying to make it right! That says a lot...
I think multiple "wizards" have gave u good solutions. You seem to prefer to keep wondering instead of riding your ski and finding out what works best for you
Raise your water box as high as it will go. Get 2 silicone elbows on eBay or wherever and couple them together. Could also put a rubber "flap" over your exhaust exit. Tap a thin piece of aluminum epoxy it to ur hull, screw rubber flap to that. That's 1 idea of many.
^^^^^^^^^ 155 at least....... I don't care what anyone says. More water you move, the more thrust you will have no matter what engine is spinning it!
Obviously you can't put a 155 in an fx1 or a hull with intake tunnel made for 144.
now if you were to put my style pipe and a better ignition that dasa would blow me away. so surf bro's find a way to run a better exhaust on ur big motors, run a zeeltronic ign. source and really feel the power you paid for. not that u need it anyway. ha
well like I've said in a previous post this engine in a circus with oem 155 carbon lay down pipe light fly oem ign. 44s. compared to dasa 1000 48's 144mag oem ign. enhancer b pipe in a xfs hull. pretty sad. was the owner of the xfs opinion too. not biased. he would run pump gas. This winter...
From my personal experience this is not true what so ever. This past year I was running a 61x I have $1300 into. I only feed it with Sunoco 110. Ethanol blends with water to easy so pump gas is the worst thing for any watercraft engine. Especially when we demand every ounce of power.
Pretty much same setup as the dasa I was talking about..... When you guys set these engines up w b pipes and stock ignition your wasting all the money u put into the shortblock....
I'll trade u my shortblock for your intake and reeds on ur dasa...... You'll sail just as high in the surf and have fun for years to come worry free......
