65 degree water and 70-75 degree air temps right now, i was actually baking hot in my 3/2 wet suit on sat some guys trunk it, maybe gets down to low 50's in the deep winter riding all year round no stopping us. We don't get snow or rain cause we live in California.
Yep every weekend between the 2 entrances, there was 12 of us on sat shredding surf was epic 6-8 ft glassy..................till wind picked up around noon.
Although we do break some stuff, we have Taylor Curtis who lives 1 1/2 away that dials our skis in and has every part on earth available for pick up at his shop, he is the man.
We ride pismo every weekend, all year. Even when the waves are small the high tide will create some fun inside waves, when its triple over head there are 10 lines of over head+ white water to get past to get out to the fun stuff. Head high to double over head is the prime time stuff and all sand...
Thats a bummer, here in cali right now air temps are 75-80 degrees and water temps in the ocean are 65 degrees. I dont know how you guys can deal with a short riding season, its riding season year round!!!!!
They must have alot of $ to replace parts, not one person i ride with runs any where near that ratio, all their hi-HP DASA/yamaha built machines from 701cc to 1200cc run a ratio between 40:1-50:1 and they are hi rev'ing surf/moto surf monsters that would lean/seize in a sec if they ran...
