Good thing you are getting there early, they are having huck fest this weekend, there is usually a big group of us that ride on sat between the 2 entrances, i wouldn't go down any further than that to ride way to crowded on the beach. I might see ya there.
No shark story's but went on a long ski ride to a nice break up the cali coast from our usual ride spot and stopped to clean kelp out of my pump and had a mom and baby whale just about give me a heart attack 10 feet from me, they were super playful and not aggressive but crazy how big they are...
Im the same way but there is a reason the fuel is there, so something is up. 2 strokes are tough engines they will run even when they are broken. i had rode a full 3 hr session with that reed cage dangling around and still ran great.
I have had that happen, the reed cage was dangling by one bolt and was rattling around, cylinder was not getting correct air/fuel ratio and gunked up everything back up to carb and piston. I didnt notice it, seemed ok until it was becoming hard to start. I was lucky it didnt fall all the way off...
I have a similar set up on my ski and i was wondering the same thing, top of piston is black carbon end to end and plugs look perfect any more info would be great.
