just bought squarejoels old hull, a 92 reinforced sn. plan on finishing up hood mod, install a scupper or versiplug, paint and swap everything over to that hull.

Well after buying and blowing the motor in my 95 sn last november i thought i would go ahead and mod it and make it my own ski, heres a list of everything done so far -1.5 over rec ported 61x cyl -milled head (185psi) -protec b1 pipe modded to fit sj -tdr waterbox -dual bilges -dual cooling...

pull your head off to get it milled by your machinest, mine only charged me $30. look for a good used impeller, they go for under $75 shipped on ebay all the time. And keep your eye open for an old protec or riva pipe, you can usualy find them pretty cheap here in the classifieds

I have a chance to run a single 44mm buckshot carb on my rec ported 61x with protec pipe, what do you guys think? i heard they have issues with loading up and tough to tune.

okay i understand. would a right angle die grinder be the right tool for the job? i dont see what other tool cold fit up into the cylinder to reach the boost ports

is there any way to keep from ingesting water again? i have the stock single 44 mm flame arrestor and a 500gph bilge pump is there anything else i can do to help prevent it? i have almost $600 in rebuilding my motor already and would hate to have the same outcome

Sorry in new to 2 stroke engines, so basically if i stay away from the sleeve and just grind down the excess aluminum in the port i should be fine?

I was wondering if it is a good idea to match the aluminum cylinder with the sleeve so that it is a smooth transition, it seems like there is about a 2mm diffrence in the sleeve and the 61x casting. do many of you guys do this? and if so what tools do you use to get up into the cylinder? thanks...
